CPJ has turned into CCG

I get why CPJ stays with Washington. He runs the system better than Vad.

I also get why a lot of fans prefer Vad. He is explosive. Plus, he is the future and this season is largely a bust.

I myself would like to see what Vad can do. He is the future (and if he isn't, we've likely got a huge problem).

If you've been a Tech fan long enough, you'll remember that Joe Hamilton was scary to watch his freshman year (almost twice as many interceptions as touchdowns). But, Fridge saw potential and let him play and he grew into the greatest quarterback of the modern Tech era (if not all time).

I'm not saying that Vad is destined to be a great quarterback. But, I'm saying I'd like to see what he can be. He certainly looks to have raw talent.

Then again, I once thought Crenshaw looked more promising than Godsey so what do I know.

Vad would've played well tonight if he had more time in the pocket. His inexperience in the pocket shows; a lot of hesitation as if he's fighting his instinct to tuck and run the ball as soon as the pocket collapses. We need to significantly improve our pass blocking.

I never saw it coming. :squint:

No offense because I used to like you but you have a ten year history of being a total -----. Only time we see you is when there's blood in the water. Other than tht you're just a bitch for a fan. Go ---- yourself.

This. CPJ should tell Vad, "WHEN offense line fails at pass blocking, immediately tuck and run." He waits to long to do that when protection breaks down.

I would really like to see Tevin and Vad be used in the same series. Keep Vad warm and bring Vad in when we have to pass on third and long. He can pass and can run if he has too.

Stop jerking off to old videos of Reggie Ball and posters of Chan Gailey. Quintessential douche.

Yes, and the 42 yard pass was just about all of that scoring drive. 42 out of 55 yards to be exact. His other drive went for 8 yards. So outside of one play, he went 13 yards on 12 plays.

Basically, an offense under Vad would have been pretty much entirely dependent on home run throws to score points. Each time it tried to run CPJ's offense, it got stuck.

I disagree. I don't think we've seen enough of Vad to draw that conclusion. Regardless, I would prefer to depend on Vad's home runs than TW's abilities. TW may have a better understanding of the offense, but he lacks talent and definitely isn't clutch.

At what point do you stop defending TW's mediocrity and put your message board efforts towards something worthwhile?

I don't think there is anyone defending TW's mistakes. You are blinded by the what ifs. What people are trying to point out is that we can't win games just on Vad's arm or feet alone. Sure, we may see Vad turn what could've been a sack into a 20 yard gain because he made a DE miss. Sure, we may see a 43 yard pass because the defense was thinking run but instead we threw it over their heads. But we aren't going to see these things consistently unless the 10 other guys play better.

This means pass protection, picking up blitzes, getting to their assignments, making that block, etc. One guy isn't just going to magically make the 10 other guys on the field play better.

Never. Somebody is wrong on the Internet and the Internets are serious business.
