I would say

Starters: Dieke - Green - Gotsis - Attouchu
Backups: Cummings - Gamble - Keith/Chungong/? - Kallon/Williams
I thought Cummings got good push from the NT spot in passing situations this year. He seems to me an ideal 4-3 DT at the college level... someone athletic who came to college around 230-250 lb and packed on muscle while keeping his speed. (Like Joe Anoai).

You shut your whore mouth. Sir Francis of Sackinghire on Sackington will be ready for action this season! HAVE AT YOU!
I may be wrong, but I think his official title is Sir Francis Kallon of Sackingshire at Sackington-Upon-Moresacks.

He and Gotsis will be part of the defensive line known as the International Wrecking Crew.

Anthony Williams will be big, imo.
I also think Chris Crenshaw will be good

fwiw, Roof wants to be multiple, have a base system that he adjusts to his personnel. I wouldn't be surprised if we still play some 3-man fronts next year.

I would expect a multiple look with a OLB, DT, NT, and DE. Very similar to what O'Leary ran for Ross. With these 4 in a down position we could shift odd or even and rush zero to nine.

of course we will

we had a TON of 3 man fronts with Tenuta. Some may have selective memories, but JT's dollar D, Oliver moved to DT, and we had two ends, MJ and Roberson, added a LB and blitzed off the corner or OLB spot. We did this all the time.

4-3 is the base scheme you work off of.

Every 4-3 in the country has a 3 man front look in spread/passing situations. I am not sure why, but so many get confused by this fact.

Cummings will fit in much better in a 4-3. I'd look for him to have a breakout year of sorts if we do go back to a 4-3. Dieke is big and strong, but kinda stiff.

I'd be willing to bet Attachou or Watts is moved. If not, then we'll have 4 LB's covering three spots and someone currently not starting will fill the DE spot. We could very well see Crenshaw and Williams start at one DE spot. Green, Gamble Gotsis rotating the middle. Cummings, Deke, Kallon, Crenshaw, and Williams rotating the ends.

Again, why can't Attachou stay at LB?
Seriously, why would Attachou come back for another year to get moved around and not develop as a LB? He's not moving anywhere

Well, its not like being an OLB in a 3-4 is that much different than a DE in a 4-3. On many plays Attouchu played the role of a 4-3 DE. I'm sure we could have him as an OLB and then move him up to DE as a pass rusher on obvious pass plays.

Because Watts/Nealy/Hunt-Days/Attaochu are four of the best players on our team right now. And assuming we move to a 4-3, it would be ideal to have them all on the field. And since Attaochu's best known for being our only real pass-rushing threat, it would also be ideal to have him near the LOS pass-rushing.

Thats a bit of a stretch. Jemea is the best and after Attouchu and Hunt-Days I would put Young, Mason, and Lee in the mix.

Is it for sure that Crenshaw, Dieke and Cummings are coming back? They're all redshirt juniors. Could one or all be done with school before August rolls around?
