2014 schedule

With only 1 non-Clemson Atlantic game a year, does that mean FSU once every 6 years? Crazy.

I'd be really excited for NOLA except for the fact it's early September. I just don't know if I could stand that heat.

sad I'll miss a trip to Nawlins (though the weather will be unbearable) but glad we'll be on the road for the opening day of dove season!

We're going to play them every year ... in Charlotte. Go Jackets (go uva, go duke)

Wofford and GSU should be better games than Elon and A&M. I wonder if CPJ has ever played one of his option proteges?

I am ok with it. We play uga, Clemson, Miami and vt every year. We will play nd and fsu every few years. It's a good schedule.

Not a great home schedule aside from Clemson and Miami. Should be a decent turnout for Southern at least, and hopefully we go 5-1 or at the worst 4-2 at home. Tulane will be a great road trip.
Lots of " Tail Gating " in N.O.Dont take the wife !

I'm thinking of bringing my boy (he'll be 9) to a Tech home game next year. Any suggestions for which game I should look at? I am assuming that non-ACC opponents would be easier in terms of securing tickets, right?

Well, I'd immediately rule Miami out because you don't want your 9 year old to be around their fans. That leaves you with Wofford, Southern, Duke, Clemson, and UVA. Of those, only Clemson will really be difficult to get tickets for - so if that's a deciding factor for you then rule Clemson out. I'd also probably rule out Wofford because I can't imagine the atmosphere for that one being that great.

I don't think you could really go wrong with Southern, Duke, or UVA. Tickets for those shouldn't run you more than about $15 each if you scalp, and probably no more than $30-40 each if you buy from the GTAA. I'd wait until the schedule with dates comes out in a few months and then figure out which date works best for your schedule.

There should be tickets available for all home games the week of the games.

My "guesstimate" on the attendance.

1. Clemson will be the toughest, and most expensive, to procure. None of the other teams will travel so well.
2. Georgia Southern may bring quite a few, as they have a good alumni base in the Atlanta area. But Upper North will have seating available.
3. Miami should be a good game but unless Miami is top 10 nationally rated, I would not expect a big crowd.
4 - 5. Virginia and Duke. Not noted for being good travelling fan base, don't see any change there to that despite Duke successes this year.
6. Wofford. plenty of seats available.

Absolutely agree Duke, Southern, UVA are all good choices.. I would order through the ticket office (just like supporting the school) but scalpers are around as well.

I would like to go to Pittsburgh and Tulane.

Pittsburgh serves beer in their stadium, don't they? Pitt should also be a relatively cheap flight from Chattanooga or Atlanta (for me)

I would like to see Tulane's new stadium. New Orleans is just "meh" to me. The place is kind filthy.

It's a nice drive through WV to Pittsburgh.
