Someone is interested in CPJ

I wouldn't complain much if someone hired him away...

I'm not calling for him to be word-that's-against-the-rules-here, however. By the way, is it normal for a coach to have 1.75 years left on a contract without an extension in place? Seems like that might hamper recruiting a bit.

That Bob Stitt hiring thought at the bottom is pretty awesome.

Noticed they listed PJ, Niuabalahasfdlkj-olo and Monken as the top three. I guess they was the 3-O?

Kansas has been crazy bad at football for decades. 2007 was like the best year any living Kansas fan will ever see. That has to suck.

I wouldn't mind seeing Godsey on our sideline. Hell with Kansas's aspirations

2.75 isn't it? He has a 9 year fully guaranteed contract, which is insane for any coach. This is his 7th year.

I see Godsey is on the longshot list at KU.

Weis may be the worst head coach of the past decade in CFB.

I was looking at an old one. He got the one year extension in 2009, put it through the end of 2016 instead of 2015 as I thought.

Thanks for the correction.

Yep.

The grass is always greener...

Lets look back at other ACC coaches (and new ACC coaches) hired since 2005:

2005: Pittsburgh - Dave Wannestedt - Not Good
2005: Syracuse - Greg Robinson - Disaster
2007: NCST - Tom Obrien: Neutral
2007: UNC - Butch Davis: Neutral
2007: Miami - Randy Shannon: Not Good
2007: Louisville - Steve Kragthorpe: Disaster
2007: BC - Jeff Jagodzinkski: Good
2008: Duke - David Cutcliffe: Very Good
2009: Boston College - Frank Spaziani: Disaster
2009: Clemson - Dabo: Very Good
2010: Florida State - Jimbo Fisher: Very Good
2010: UVA - Mike London: Very Bad
2011: Maryland - Randy Edsall: Very Bad
2011: Miami - Al Golden: Neutral
2011: Pitt - Mike Haywood -> Todd Graham: Disaster
2012: UNC - Larry Fedora: Neutral (very early still)
2012: Pitt - Pal Chryst: Neutral/Good (very early still)
2013: BC - Steve Addazio: Good (very early still)
2013: NCST - Dave Doeren: Bad (very early still)

The 'hit' rate was better than I thought it would be in compiling this, but there are some obvious failures that would absolutely have killed our program.

Which of these (that we could actually land) do you think would be better at GT than CPJ? I don't think I'm falling into bannable territory with this questions.

PS: I missed Charlie Strong at Louisville which was an obvious Home Run.

Edsell's name came up alot last time we were looking for a coach too.

Davis/Fedora should probably both be disasters given the amount of cheating that's gone on, and the return on that investment.

Weis may be the worst head coach of the past decade in CFB.

You probably recall Jim Hart aka Beebad and MissTechAnalysis talking about how Weiss was a coaching genius and Tech should have had more gumption to hire him instead of Gailey.
