Go jackets!! How do you think the Jackets will do in the bowl game?

GT - 28

Miss St - 21

I think we win with plenty of points scored by both sides....give us six and the win.

Who the hell knows. Bowls are so dumb - you earn them by playing a routine (play, week off, repeat). Now you reward them by playing a game that has a whole new set of variables. 3 weeks prep, lack of motivation, academic casualties, etc. I don't know how they even set lines for these games.

That being said, we are going to win 27-24. No doubt.

The unpredictability is one thing I really like about bowl season. I suspect we may have the motivation advantage in this one. I like our chances, overall.

Very few stops on defense, like the last two games. (Even in the UGA game, if you look at the possessions, UGA punted only once.) Hopefully we'll get enough to win. If JHD plays, it could help some.

There's not much I like about this match-up on paper. Their big, physical O (OL, QB, and RB) scare me against this D.

Don't forget that on D, we get reinforcements in Hunt-Days...he should be eligible pending his grade report. Am thinking that this will have an impact on our D.

That said, GT wins this game by a TD. 35-28.

I think Miss State turns the ball over a bunch and we win big: GT 42 - 17 Miss State

Maybe we get JHD back. We find out tonight or tomorrow.

Miss State on paper looks a lot like LSU did when we played them last.

Mullen not only knows the 3O, he stole it in 2010 and stuck it into his playbook. This meeting will literally be the first time in the modern era two P5 teams will show down who've both run the 3O play itself from the flexbone/spread formation.

This will be a really big test. Our chances were better against FSU in my opinion.

i agree.. lets not forget these guys were the #1 team in the nation just a few weeks ago

With 11 wins on the line I think we see a very motivated team in Miami. They have a chance to do something very few Tech teams have done.

Roof has shown good ability to stop the opposition when given time to prepare. I think we do a better job slowing them down and we roll on offense due to their poor play in the secondary.

Jackets: 31
Dawgs: 20

I don't mind losing to a good team, but most of the posters and pundits will turn any bowl loss into a discussion about Tech's recent bowl record and CPJ not being able to win a game when the opponent has 3 weeks to prepare. I think we have a good chance of winning, but if we lose, it will be because we played a top ten team with a good coach. It will not be an indictment of our offense or our program.
