I've noticed our branding is really slacking. Curious as to know why we cant set a standard font (like Auburn, Georgia, FSU, and now Tennessee) or even decide on shade of gold or logo. Didnt we just hire a guy to focus on branding?
 
Have you ever seen a bunch of engineers try and do something creative?
 
We lose so many great recruits because we can't settle on a ööööing font style. Come on people, get with it!

UGA chose comic sans and look how well things are going for them

Just now noticing this? We have an awesome car that you should be able to easily be able to find a decent replica model of. I do have a few of the ones the alumni association sold, but it should be out there more. I would like to have a remote control one if they will do it.
 
There's been a big push the last decade for branding at GT. They've done a much better job lately. "Together We Swarm" has become a recognizable slogan of GT. They've standardized colors and logos across varsity and club teams - although this has not trickled down to apparel for fans. The honeycomb is becoming synonymous with GT in the sporting world as well.

And are you joking on the logos? The interlocking GT and buzz logos are about as standardized and identifiable as any school's in the country.

I'd say my only real complaint is officially licensed Tech apparel being non-official colors, but other than that they've been doing a pretty good job lately.
 
I'm in favor of standardizing colors, font, etc. and suing anyone who does not comply

I don't like "Together We Swarm". It is trying too hard
 
I am speaking more from an apparel standpoint. You can say that this stuff doesn't affect recruiting, but in this day and age you are severely wrong.

And we're probably not allowed to use the buzz in stingtalk logo.
