If he tells Thomas to always throw the ball down the middle, regardless of coverage then that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard a coach say.
 
Defense is actually getting some pressure on the QB tonight. They're flying around and trying to play a game. More than I can say of our offense.

To be fair, our o line is flying around too. They are just completely missing everyone.

Nesbitt used to dump the same exact pass to Thomas all the time. Are you saying we can never throw underneath? There will always be DBs on the field, follow the route and the CB is trailing and its 1v1 with the safety.
 
I would never have guessed after last season that we could appear so inept in all phases of the game this year. I expected a drop off this year with the loss of backs and receivers, but nothing like this.

I agree, but I'm pretty sure I remember CPJ saying on some pass plays he tells JT where to throw the ball based on how they D has lined up in prior plays.

My guess is after the timeout CPJ called that route. If not, I'm not sure what JT was trying to do...

Regardless it doesn't help that JT is under constant pressure.

Defense is playing decent....bend, but don't break crap. Bonehead plays by JT have killed us.
 
I don't think offense is going to be able to string a long drive, we need some explosive plays, but I have no idea how we are going to do that

How freaking dense are you? The pass was about 15-20 yards down field...late....across the middle...into double coverage.

I'm saying that is F**KING STUPID to throw by anyone...even an NFL QB.
