I guess we've decided upon a strategy for finishing out the class........

Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson and assistant coach Bryan Cook visited Ponchatoula High School defensive end Jahaziel Lee Wednesday.

Lee, the 6-foot-3, 245 pound defensive end from Ponchatoula, La, has been committed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since June 25 according to 247 Sports.

Seen in a tweet from Lee’s Twitter account, Johnson and Cook spent their first day of contact period before Signing Day with Lee, a two-star recruit.

Embarrassing. We gotta fly the big dog out to LA to get a 2*? Really? Can't find one of those in gwinnett? Really starting to think this season is the new normal.

That's a four win team we're trying to poach recruits from. Nothing to sneeze at.

We should be highly grateful that the young man is a lineman instead of another QB, A, or B, or Athlete we always have to recruit too many of with this O.

Might help make up the gap of appx 18% fewer OL, DL & LB we recruit than our average comp.

He is a cousin and teammate of Donavaughn Campbell....who we are trying to flip from LSU.

CPJ knows what he is doing:naughty:

some posters are watching checkers while CPJ is playing chess -- we hope, and not Yahtzee

I've got no problems going after a kid who's 6'3 and 245 and looks like he could carry 275 easily.

anyone wonder why no defensive staff there? Or is it by state assignment?

UGAg's new QB would be a 6 star if they were allowed and he looked like a skeered bunny rabbit in the All American game.

I ain't saying the kid will be an all world DE, but we must see something in him.

Yeah... We see signing day approaching and we need the dudes.

Tex,
it is even worse in some positions--count the number of Abacks on scholly vs number of DTs-you start to see why we have about the 30th best Offense vs 60th best def over the yrs

We've had some pretty epic recruiting battles with the Sun Belt going the early Gailey days.

Only 2 can play on Defense and they rarely play ST. You only going to carry 6 is good 8 max maybe. So we have:
Gamble
Kallon
KCH
Morgan twin
Glanton

Committed: Martin

Better talent would be great but the number is not far off

We had a pretty good run of players from LA going under O'L and gailey.
