Did you notice how their O looked like the 72 Dolphins before the referees had the guts to call one holding call and that after that they scored more in line with what our D normally allows. Even then, the other TD they scored was due to pass interference BS.
IF we meet again ten times and they are allowed to tackle our D we would lose all ten.
IF we meet again and we are allowed to 'rattle' Matt, we could possibly win some.
No way we would win all 10 against these guys. Officiating aside, they are very good and match up well.
even if we played them another 10 times?
Kyle, your perspective is badly flawed.......as is common coming from someone your age.
No team performs at the same level ever time it steps on the field. That is the difference between humans and machines.
Typically, teams improve throughout the season....and I certainly expect Tech to do that as our inexperienced players gain experience....in particular, our QB and receivers, but there are others also.
It's too easy to say they were holding on every play because our guys simply weren't getting to the QB the way they normally do. The obvious calls were made every time (the ones where #77, in particular, got owned on the edge and pulled MJ down).I sit low in the end-zone, so I didn't notice this. However, every other person I've talked to has commented on how bad the holding was the whole game. If I can bring myself to do it (and this is a big IF), I'd like to watch the game again to check it out.

I haven't had a chance to rewatch the game to see how bad the officiating was. I just know that sometimes I go back and see stuff that I thought looked bad during the game and find out the officials made the right call (or non-call, as it were). Of all the calls, I'm pretty sure that they blew it on the Guyton interference call.
I do know that it would've taken a large amount of favorable officiating to overcome how well BC played in all aspects.

That doesn't make any sense. The only reason UGA beat us last year is because of that BS fumble recovery. The score was 15-12. Obviously this game was quite different.Kyle, you remind me of my nephew who said 'UGA beat the crap out of GT'.
We were not 'dominated'. Their offense had to grab our defense to allow Matt to pick us apart. No offense to a great QB, but a QB has to totally stink if he can't hit 70% with 8-10 seconds in the pocket each play.
They had 17 guys and won by two tds. Nice, but not 'domination'.

We were completely dominated by BC. How can you say holding TC to 31 yards (12 of which came on his last carry) and putting up 527 of TO on us isn't domination? This was AT HOME mind you.
Don't blame this game on the refs. BC had plays called back as well. They had a similar amount of penalty yards.Because it was only 14-0 going into 3rd quarter, when Tech was starting to look much better offensively and defensively. The two REALLY bad calls in the third quarter hurt Tech significantly in both areas when it we could have made headway against BC.
You're also cherry-picking stats when you only mention TC's numbers after playing 2 and a half quarters. BC's weakness is their pass defense which TB partially exploited, with 200+ yards and about 100 yards or so of dropped passes and plays called back.
If they played 10 games, BC probably wins 6-7 of them. There were way too many opportunities Tech had Saturday to say BC wins 10 out of 10.
