What's interesting is that nobody is really holding out much hope, so it really shouldn't be a surprise when he doesn't pick us. Still, I expect a butthurt tsunami when he doesn't get into Stanford and still chooses to go elsewhere.

It would be weird for him to claim education is important and try to get into Stanford then just take a complete 180 if he doesn't get in and decide to go to UGAg. UGAg is academically the school you go to if you can't get into any other schools.

To be fair, uga has some respected pre-professional and agriculture related degrees, but athletes are not in those degree programs. You will find uga football players typically majoring in Housing, Physical Education, or Magazines. Just look at their roster. Hell, one of their star players from last season was admitted to uga and didn't know how to read.

No, they don't. You might describe programs as pre-Vet as "respected", but that's solely because of the lack of pre-Vet (or Vet) programs in the US.

It's easy to be Top 25 in an area where there are 27 programs, like Veterinary Science.

I wish I had a dollar for every one of these guys who
says "academics will be important in my choice" and then signs with Knucklehead State to major in Bass
Fishing. I do hope the kid picks Tech but I learned long ago to not needlessly expose myself to genital kicks.

Dalvin Tomlinson did that with Alabama. Talked up education, said it was biggest for him, then picked up our hat and put it back down.

UGA will sell him junk like DCSS just posted--that they can actually get a good education there, and that the difference between us/Stanford and them is overblown. There are always a few grads they can point out that are successful despite their handicap.

UGAg developed the strain of grass the Superbowl was played upon. The way they slid around, it looked like they were playing on a field soaked in baby oil. No thanks on that respected AG degree.

Nothing wrong with bass fishing. ;)

But yeah, I quit listening years ago to these kids claiming academics matter and choosing to go to Knucklehead State to get a degree that won't do anything for them after their playing career is over.

Brandon Miller chose UGAg over us because of their computer department - whatever that was supposed to mean.

It means he clearly needed an education in computing because he didn't know the first öööö thing about computers if the thought their program was better than ours.

I was thinking pre-vet and pre-pharmacy, maybe even pre-law, but you won't find uga football players in any of those programs.

Preprofessional degrees are the biggest pieces of öööö. WTF you gonna do with a degree in pre-med or pre-law when you don't get into school? Exactly, suck at life. This is why Tech doesn't offer them and instead builds the requirements into its existing degree offerings.

I'm not holding out hope, but here is a link that says Momma does favor Georgia Tech.

I'm just saying there's a chance.

Within that is a link to an interview with Robertson, that I listened to.

Stanford is clearly his #1, but after that it seems pretty open
between Notre Dame, GT, UGA, and Alabama.

It's so bizarre. Even though Robertson clearly says positive things about Tech, the interviewer doesn't even mention GT as a contender when they discuss it later.

This would just be fun because it would blow everybody minds if he went to GT.

He's not coming to GT, yet the butthurt will still result in another page or two added to this thread...

I just think it's weird that everyone here uses the painful consequence of anal sex as the primary description for any kind of upset or frustration.

Butthurt has nothing to do with that. So you have been thinking that of everyone who has been using that meme over the last few years?
