I read a Notre Dame board. They don't think he's committing there or he would have already done so.

A UGA board thinks he's not going there, because they can't get him on campus for an OV

Alabama says they have moved on

Of course very few think he'll actually end up here.

One of posts said he's taking the SAT again in March to try and get into Stanford.

Watch him go to Ohio State....

Or walk on at Alabama.

My money is on him retaking the SAT. We would have heard about his OV's by now otherwise.

I can't see him going through that again - eventually you just have to face the facts and move on. Then again I could be short-selling his determination to go to Stanford.

On the OV's, from what I heard before, he is too busy playing basketball to take the OV's. If I were his coach, I would want him focusing on his current team too.

No inside knowledge on my part though.

His Basketball season ended last weekend.

so, do we really expect an announcement tomorrow?

Possible, but not probable. UGA is still pushing pretty hard to get him to take an OV. Notre Dame seems to be pretty quiet lately, so I speculate that we have bumped up and we are looking at GT, UGA. I didn't include Stanford because, based on how vocal he was on retaking the SAT, I don't think he made the grade and is contemplating a third attempt.

I've seen hm play hoops. He could help.

PJ has had some guys who were two sport guys in college before. Had one from Savannah when he was at Southern, Arkee Thompson from Wndsor Forest. Wound up beng a freshman all American free safety and a hellacious basketball player. Also wound up not staying in school long. Academics were not his forte.

Do I need to go ahead and make a list of reasons why I am glad he didn't come to Tech? I think I may go with "we are already pretty solid at WR/AB" through my tears.

A prelude to a new commodity type: butthurt hedge futures.

Goldman Sachs has assigned three math PhDs and one quantum probability statistician to work through the mechanics.

I imagine a quantum probability statistician is just a guy who shrugs more convincingly than everyone else.

Why would he have to retake SATs to get into Stanford, but not here? Do they not have exceptions or something?

He scored too high to be an athlete. They want him on academic scholarship, so he's trying to get a lower score.

Stanford has a hard minimum (not common) of 1500 for all athletes. If you score below you are not qualified to go, if you score at or above then it depends on your competitiveness - grades, extra curricular, SAT score.
