The big concern for him should be major. GT would have let him into the business school. It is unlikely Cal will let him into Haas. If he majors in Media Studies or Interdisciplinary Studies, he made a bad choice.

The interesting thing about the Cal roster is that the freshman and sophomores have a lot of "intended major is business administration" and the juniors and seniors have majors in social welfare, interdisciplinary studies, and media studies. Haas admits students their junior year.

Cal is a left wing nut cesspool.

No different than any "University of (name of state)" out there. Can always slide into Oakland for the night life.

Plus it will soon fall into the ocean.

Have a few HS football connections in Savannah. First, this kid values education and was never going to Uga so we can settle that point.

The sad part is his family wants him on the Flats but wouldn't pull the trigger with CPJ at the helm. I'm just as butthurt as Uga fans and for a lot better reason. I will crawl back into my hole now and hopefully can come back out in Dec.
The coach, the system he runs or both?

Berkeley is ridiculously liberal, but Cal is a good school by any reasonable measure. It's certainly pretty ignorant to say it's no different than any other major state school.

Probably coach considering that SCPS runs an option offense.

This guy has been weird from the start. He used to attend Savannah Country Day and was an Alabama commit. Then Carlos all of a sudden decided Country Day was not going to get him the football education he needed and transferred him across town (at an odd time in the school year if I recall correctly) to SCP. Country Day people were super pissed about it and it caused a minor issue here. I think there was an eligibility issue at the transfer.

Chumley is a good coach but isn't it strange he went to another school n the same region, so the competition was the same, and actually a little lesser since he was going to one of the better programs, one he wouldn't have to face. I don't believe it's the case in this instance, but there's no shortage of "recruiting" among Savannah's private schools

Good luck to the kid but I'm glad he is not coming to GT.
By all accounts Demetris is a really good kid. Saw him play basketball a couple of times this year. Very respectful of ref's and opponents. Damn good hoops player too

If I were a top rated WR, I don't think I'd consider playing WR for a team that can't protect its QB. Thomas can't make throws beyond the line of scrimmage while he's running toward the opposite end zone.
