University System of Georgia officials on Tuesday capped how much athletic programs can depend on student fees and tuition for funding, urging campuses to look elsewhere amid national concern about college costs.

The change has little effect on the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech ... But six schools, including Georgia State University in Atlanta, have to lower their dependence on student money within four years. Others exceeding the new limits, based on financial year 2015 budgets, are Armstrong State University, Middle Georgia State University, East Georgia State College, Gordon State College and Atlanta Metropolitan State College.

What about VSU? Will they have to defund their annual Kicker summer camp?

Well, 7.2% is to close to 10%.
We need to win more against good teams and sell more tickets to sidewalk fans.

Someone please explain to me why Atlanta Metro College or whatever it's called is still a thing after all the USG's merging mania. And they have sports?

Now this sounds like a Louisiana sports board

Georgia State in every way is a joke - Academics, Athletics, Professors, President, Everything.

It is sixth in the state behind KEnnesaw, Southern, and even Ga College and State in Milledgeville - Academically (Undergraduate).

It is better than Valdosta.

BOR are unqualified political appointees. GT needs its own system.
Was talking to a coworker from another facility after a meeting yesterday. Said his son is in high school, wants to be an engineer, and is considering Georgia Tech. Another coworker interrupts and says "he should look at UGAg, they have engineering now" almost as if he was stating that the school cafeteria has ice cream. There are some dumbass UGAggers out there

It's better than Auburn. You know? The place where you couldn't last through your first semester. I can't remember though. You didn't even make it to Parent's Weekend, did you?

Well seeing as I graduated from Florida in 2006....You must be pretty far off on that idea.

2006, so that makes you about 28 yrs old? But your bio says 30, so it took you 7 yrs to get a degree from Florida? You would still be trying to pass classes at GT.

Actually far off on that. I entered UF at 17 years of age in 2003 and graduated Fall of 2006, at age 21. Got my MBA from GT in 2011.
