I think we should open up the offense.

I have always been a fan of the triple option, and Paul Johnson has done well with it here at Tech.
However, I think it would be wise to throw in a little triple option out of the gun, as well as some wingbone plays as a nice change up once in awhile. Watch Georgia Southern's game a few years ago against Florida when they pulled the upset. They ran the triple out of the flexbone, wingbone, and wishbone sets, and used motion with their wide recievers to keep Florida off balance. Why can't we do this?

It's not happening at this point. The fans have discussed the possibilities into the ground, PJ made a show to pacify us by half-heartedly throwing in a random pistol play with Vad, and in the end, he's not going to change his offense. What you see is what you're going to get, and it can take us both close to the top of the mountain and to the basement, and that is mostly decided by the OLine play.

We ran that in 2013.

It was nowhere near as good as when we abandoned it in 2014.

When CPJ "opened up" the O when VL was here, he seemed almost thrilled when it did not work so as to be able to say "told you so."

I used remember when Al Groh did that once. Then I drank until I forgot.

I guess it depends on who does the "opening up". Groh had more of a cerebral approach to opening things up. I was thinking more of a physical approach.

Not gonna happen. At this point, Paul Johnson is the triple option, and vice versa. That's like hiring Mike Leach and then demanding that you switch to the I-formation. It's not what makes him good.

Exactly, we threw 4 TDs against Duke and we abandoned it two weeks later. If we were going to abandon an offense for not working, we should have gone "run and shoot" after the ND game last year.

Nope still dive dive dive and belly flop after opposing lineman I am afraid. offense is sound when you have folks who can run it but last year accordion to past GT qb we missed blocking assignments and reads by qb......couple this with no big time players and we have problems......wish we went to the spread and moved the ball around in the air.....course would like to see old tech unis rather than this chicken wire mess too..but yall knew that.
