"Matthew knows the system, he's been consistent, he's played in games, he's started on the road, he's older. He's way ahead of those other guys in that aspect," said Johnson. "But all those guys are different. 'Quon has got some unique things about him, and the two freshmen, Lucas is a little taller, a little bigger, and Jay may be as quick as anybody we've ever had. I'm not as worried about the quarterback spot as I am some of the other spots. We'll be fine there."
"They all throw pretty good," said senior wide receiver Ricky Jeune, the Jackets' leading receiver last season (25 catches, 427 yards, 1 TD). "Jay is more of an elusive guy and Matthew is more of a bruiser. Lucas is a mix between both. So it's going to be interesting to see. I'm looking forward to it."

Really excited to watch our secondary this year. Hopefully our DL can keep up.

I remember he wasn't at all worried when Vad transferred, either, and that turned out great. I assume CPJ has seen enough of Jordan to be comfortable with him, unless one of the other guys just blows him away.

Give me one productive reason for putting down any kid that plays or played for GT

Good kid - contributed - no drama - no problems

No reason to say anything besides thank you to a young man like that
I don't think it's a put down to say that a kid wasn't a major contributor. Nobody is saying he did some kind of terrible job, but he's a defensive lineman with 2 career sacks, mostly on account of not having a whole lot of play time.

Going out of your way to highlight a 'mediocre' career is not nice and hardly necessary here.

The author was the one who decided to single Kallon out as a special contributor so he could add additional drama to his blurb about defensive line turnover, nobody here is going out of their way to do anything. Is it really so outlandish to think that we can both thank Francis Kallon for his contributions to the team and at the same time admit that they were not 'major'?

"lost major contributor Francis Kallon"

#FakeNews
We have what, 100+ on the roster but only 22 starters on offense and defense. So yeah he was a major contributor, relatively. You've got to be a great athlete to start at the D1 level.

The only problem with Kallon was people's expectations for him.

Exactly what I was thinking. CPJ doesn't sugarcoat things, so I don't think he would say we're fine at QB unless he really thinks we are.

I don't disagree with you but, would CPJ say he was worried if he was actually indeed worried?
