someone show me where VT is #1
If VT didn't get stomped by LSU they would have a case for a NC bid.Oh come on guys, that's easy.
VT's only losses are to LSU, one of the best teams in the country, and to BC, who they split games with. Remember all margin of victory was taken out of the computer polls, so the computers don't realize VT lost by any more than a single point.
LSU lost to Kentucy and Arkansas, UK and Arkansas < BC.
Georgia lost to Tennessee and South Carolina, UT and SC < LSU and BC.
Oklahoma lost to Colorado and Texas Tech. UC and TT < BC and LSU.
etc.
It's easy guys. And it's fair. They should be ranked higher than Georgia. That's why we have the BCS, so media hype does not overpower on-the-field performance.

They have as much claim as anyone else. How? Someone explain.
The ACC isn't allowed in the Championship game, remember?Speaking of which, what if VT had scheduled some directional school instead of LSU? The ACC would likely end up with a BCS championship this year.
