I like the concept of having a lower bowl wrapping around from north to east, and presumably west as well. That would be a good look.

It already is wrapped on the north, east, and south sides. The west and stands are not directly connected to the rest of the stadium.
 
I like that we are doing all of this to be more competitive. From a design standpoint, I wish we took a step back to think more holistically instead of making one-off upgrades like this. It's beautiful, but it looks out of place next to the classic design of the stadium. Then again, I think the whole stadium could use a redesign.

I would love to see us doing something like Autzen stadium where we just have one bowl and it wraps upward on the side by the bursar's office. The views of the old dorms and the sky line would be great from the home side. Throw in a shade and you're all set. Let the poor saps on the visiting side melt in the sun.
 
One other thing: I feel sorry for those poor souls that decide to occupy the upper north. I hope this all glass structure doesn't turn the sun into a magnifying glass during the noon kicks.
Anything in 219 next to the wall is a sauna anyway.
