Looks like RS Freshman QB, N'Kosi Perry, is getting the start against us. He's from Ocala, Florida, and has played in 7 games, but didn't play at BC, so this might be the coldest weather he's ever played a game in. Rosier played against BC in some chilly weather recently and was 19/36 for 150 yds (4.2 ave) with 1 TD and 2 INTs (QB rating 39.1). A noisy BDS with temps in the 40s will be a big challenge for a rookie QB. We need to make some stops and get some pressure. Just hope we can control the clock and limit their possessions.

Tenuta wasn’t a genius or anything but his bread and butter was blitzing the hell out of inexperienced quarterbacks. And it worked. Hope we bring the house over and over.

This will be a crucial test for CNW. We have a recent history of making backups look like Heisman candidates.

I agree. If the R-Fr or even the True Freshman QB gets trotted out there, I want to see 5+ rush the QB on every passing down.

Edit: We'll get the R-Fr N'Kosi Perry. 55 of 105 (52.4%) for 701 yards, 6-5 TD-INT, 58 rushing yards. Against FIU he went 17/25 (68%) for 224 yards 3-1 TD-INT, 32 rushing yards.

Be prepared for LOTS of quick screens and RPO-bubble screens. Yowza, this game is going to be annoying to watch.

I hope poor Simmons (CB)doesn't have to play .He just doesn't seem to be able to make a play.I still remember that pass last yr bounce from him to uM WR on 4th down. Then that unc WR beating him in jump ball last wk..
Stop the bubble screens!!

Just saw their defense is #2 in the country in total D. Crazy how terrible their offense is. Clemson seems to be the only team in the conference with a QB who can actually throw. And they only have the 1.
NC State's QB isn't bad. Dungey is the Cuse is ok.
And ... .that'll do it.

What is odd is that he did really well against David Greene in 2004 and Shockley in 2005. We held UGA down pretty well in 2007 and they were on fire at that part of the season. Classic example to what you are saying was the Matt Ryan game in 2007. Clemson in 2006 was a bad loss but they just rushed on us, IIRC.

I dunno, he also had better recruits and with a traditional QB we would have done a lot better back then.

It is a rock defense but like you are implying, it worked more often than not.

I like where the defense is going. And the season, for that matter.

Yes, I think that's what he's referring to.
That was one of the most painful things to watch as a Tech fan. He called it over and over and we couldn’t stop it. We knew it was coming and just didn’t know what to do.

Not likely this year. Nate is going to pop a couple little blue pills and give us a BIG VEINY WOODY D. I’m thinking to the tune of 3+ hairy sacks as well.

Please don't ever remind me of that game again. I just quit having nightmares about uncalled holding by O-linemen and wide open tight ends.

Was that the game where we booed Chan's DUI video?

No. I believe it was the VPI game where the other subpar qb wearing a GT jersey lit us up....

Richt's secret to success at BDS has been to only coach at football factories where it's easy to recruit superior athletes and spend money on assistants. He seems like a nice guy and a good representative of the programs he's coached at, but I don't give him much credit for his record against Tech.
