Is the ACC's relationship with ND worth it?

What 'we' get out of it is high profile game in Atlanta once every twenty years or so.

Swafford just isn't a great deal maker or conference head; but hey, at least he brought Louisville and Miami into the conference instead of UCF.
What stupidity from an 80 k’er.

UCF draws more than Louisville in everything good.

They are the Natty Champs

Check the secondary market price of a tic for UCF vs USF versus Loserville vs Kentucky or Miami vs anyone. $175 vs $15.

In every way UCF is a better conference member than either Loserville or Miami

You stoopid öööö of an idiot.

Plus 63,000 * 60% * 60% = 23,800 fine babes with words on their shorts on campus.

Maybe you need a horse ****, or a gold grill kiss, but the rest of us like UCF more than Loserville & Thug U.

Yes, that was sarcasm on my part. UCF is a much better get long term than Miami in my opinion. UCF is a large school (fan base), in a large market (that it doesn't share with pro ball), less travel distance, encroaches on SEC territory, and will probably be a better program long term despite not being in a P5 conference. I think it was short sighted of the ACC to not add them, and a miss calculation that Miami would return to their 1990's success.

I was trying to offend you, is that possible? How can you have such logic?

Dude, smoke some weed and chill the öööö out

Every year they agree to play four teams from the ACC. That's nice, leads to some very prominent games on TV which is good for the conference and more or less seems to raise the profile of all parties involved.

However, they're probably going to make the playoff this year and I don't think the conference will see a dime of that money. Outside of eyeballs on the screen, are we (a member of the ACC) really getting anything good out of this?
We get ample exposure from Clempsen, recently FSU, Lamar Jackson, Miami, and yes even Georgia Tech's triple option offense. We don't need Notre Dame and need to have them become a full member of the conference or be gone. I can't think of any advantage we gain from the current "arrangement". No one in the media, or in the country for that matter look at Notre Dame football as having any affiliation with the ACC. Notre Dame however gets five easy wins a year.

It will be interesting if they were to get jumped for a playoff spot.
Even more interesting, would be a Clemson - ND final.

I think it's worth it. Some think it is a parasitic relationship on the part of ND football in that they can take one of our bowls and get to fill their schedule with P5 opponents in an era where that type of scheduling gets harder every year while also getting a foot print into our fertile recruiting territories. However, the long play is it's actually symbiotic in that the ACC receives national exposure it would not have otherwise while also building a long-term relationship with ND who may eventually warm to the thought of joining a conference.

Notre Dame is a relic of a program who is surviving on name only. They haven’t won anything in 30 years. They will get their öööö pushed in by Alabama, Clemson, etc.

I hate ND, and I hate the ACC leadership just as much for wanting to be ND’s bitch. They should’ve made it real easy: join or see the door. But instead they bowed to ND, which really isn’t all that great.

I like it. We don't just get to play them in Atlanta once in a while; we also get to go up to South Bend, which is a fantastic trip for anyone who likes college football.

Maybe we don't get a hell of a lot out of it, but we also don't really give up anything, either. Essentially we get to see a bunch of ACC OOC games against ND, and that's a good thing to me.
We give up a lot of the money share as I understand it. Sorry, but ND is not so big a draw it deserves elite and unique status. Join like everyone else or gtfo
