I really don't get the comparison. UW is the big state school and much larger than WSU

UW is in Seattle, GT is in Atlanta. UW is the better academic school, GT is the better academic school. Washington has one campus (WSU has a bunch of rural satellite campuses) GT has one campus (uga has a bunch of satellite campuses). Washington fans are snobby, GT fans are snobby.

There is a big difference in WSU being located almost in Idaho though. Athens is a cesspool, but it is not in the middle of bumböööö nowhere like WSU

UW has 31k undergrad enrollment, and a ton of majors. They are certainly the good school in the state, but that is where similarities end with regards to academics.
