...and watched some highlights from the past 11 years.

I am excited about our future under CGC, but CPJ brought some of the best memories of my life, and I decided to share some of my favorites while waiting for his last game (in chronological order).

Miracle on North Avenue (2008 FSU):

2008 UGA:

2009 VT:

The Kick and the Pick (2014 UGA):

2014 Orange Bowl:

Miracle on Techwood (2015 FSU):

2016 UGA Highlights:

Thanks CPJ for giving us "The Perfect Option":

This is not a funeral. There will be many more highlights. There may even be some defensive ones for once.

"The Catch"

"If At First You Don't Succeed"

"The Kick I"

"1998 GT vs UVA" (Tiki Barber vs Joe Ham. Dez White with 243 yards. I was at this thriller)

Thanks, Coach O'Leary!

The most special Tech game for me. My first game with my dad and grandfather. After the game my grandfather asked someone where to go to meet Joe Hamilton and this guy takes us into the Edge Center and we walk into a room where O’Leary and Hamilton are giving a press conference. Got to talk with Joe after and he signed hats for us. I was sold and determined to go to Tech and got accepted a few weeks later.

Without question one of my all time favorite GT games. This game had it all.

Best away game I ever attended. FSU out for revenge. Surreal night with a lightning delay, no rain. It was just an awesome day

Good post. We had some of the most exciting games I've ever seen and some of the most dominant offensive performances. The explosive potential early in the Paul Johnson era spoiled offensive football for those of us who got to experience it. A lot has changed in the state of college football since he was hired and it's time for us to adapt to the new realities, but there will always be nostalgia for the good times. My favorite moments:
- 2008 FSU I'm in the pile of fans that the footage cuts to in celebration.
- 2008 Miami the whole game
- 2008 UGA where's the sting?
- 2009 FSU took years off my life and I'm not talking about sitting in the tunnel with their band during the lightning delay.
- 2009 Clemson fake FG
- 2009 MSSt was some of the best tailgating I ever experienced.
- 2009 ACCCG throwing frozen oranges on the field.
- 2011 the streak of games where we scored on the first play of scrimmage.
- 2012 watching the sun bowl in Costa Rica.
- 2014 stopped watching the southern game early thinking we had it wrapped up to go hiking in the tetons, got a text halfway up and went through hell trying to get a signal to see the gametracker. I had a nice view when I saw we pulled it out.
- 2014 UGA game in their stadium
- 2014 watching the orange bowl in a pub in Scotland well into the wee hours.
- 2015 kick six
- 2016 UGA, had my uncle tell me "it's all over but the fat lady crying." Handed him a kleenex box when the score went final.
- 2016 ready to punch that stoops bitch in the face when him and Paul were going at it.

I still get goosebumps watching Jonathan Dwyer score the TD in the 3rd quarter against UGA in 2008 to take the lead.

"Right up the middle!"

That was the "öööö You" moment to Uga.

Dwyer is the most under appreciated star we’ve had.

Dude was a beast.
Definitely a beast. I can’t imagine anybody who saw him under appreciating him.
That first touchdown run to start the 3rd against the dwags in 2008 was a thing of beauty.

He was appreciated when he was at Tech. I remember some people talking about how he sort of let himself go around draft time or something.

It happens sometimes. My sister used to be a thin lacrosse player in college but after she got married I think the microbrews got their revenge.

Not to derail the thread, but some medication he was on was a banned substance in the NFL. Not the only reason the pros didn’t work out, by any stretch, but a contributor.

Thanks for the reminder, I definitely should have thought of the fake FG.

Great post of so many amazing games, and you don’t even include all of them. Virginia in the rain comes to mind. But my exact thoughts on FSU 2009: that game took years off my life.

The only part I disagree with is your comment as if that’s some part of the past. I disagree. Maybe PJ was tired or mad or whatever. Maybe it actually is the negative recruiting caught up with us. Either way, his offense would be just as amazing and even more so if we were doing it with 4 and 5 stars
