This is a mirror of a thread posted by @Crut on the hive. Please see the idea and link below:

Hey there everyone. I am an active member on a couple GT boards and have a few friend groups as well that are pretty invested in Georgia Tech Athletics. From spending time in these spaces, it's easy to tell that a lot of us have a lot of ideas on how to improve GT Athletics, whether that's in recruiting, Gameday experience, etc.

Because of this, I'm am starting a massive Google Doc to compile the ideas of the masses. The goal of this initiative is to create some great, thoughtful, innovative, unique ideas regarding Georgia Tech athletics and ultimately send them directly to GTAA for their use. My thought is that if we do our due diligence in putting this together - identifying the pros and cons of the ideas, that the ideas will warrant their full attention.

HERE IS THE LINK TO THE GOOGLE DOC. You will not be able to edit it. However, there is a link there for you to provide new ideas should they not already be listed. Also, you are encouraged to comment (positive or constructive) on any idea that is already listed. Each idea will have a link to comment where you will be able to also see other people's comments.

The Google Doc explains in more detail how it works if I have done a poor job here. But please use this opportunity to use your bright minds to help improve Georgia Tech Athletics! There is no idea too big or small to include!

Rent hot coed aged ladies, not too sleasy though. Deck em out in GT swag and bring them to games. Stop AV people from playing playful piano tunes and show more shots of these ladies on the big board playing some booty shaking rap music.

If people wouldn't troll it so hard, it should be opened for editing. Otherwise still a good idea.

Over half the "good" ideas that they've approved for the document are hot garbage. Vuvuzelas, really?
It would be annoying but we need people to be louder at Bobby Dodd. The loudest we get is the Yellow Jacket chant

Hard to get loud when you're told to sit down every time you try to stand up and cheer/yell/etc.
225 has gotten progressively lamer since I've been sitting there (over 15 years). There's one guy in 224 near me who kicks the öööö out of the wall to make noise, but other than that I feel like I'm the only one yelling on most 3rd downs.

I don't know what we need to do, but we need to do something. I used to feel like we were a solid 4th in the ACC in crowd noise/gameday experience (Clemson, FSU, VT, us) but I'm not so sure about that anymore.

I would love to say a complete overhaul of Bobby Dodd Stadium then go into excessive detail about things like shade and noise retention canopies, seat incline angle for noise retention, a building-enclosed horseshoe to add square footage to replace Edge/Wardlaw/BMSSC/Lyman and retain noise, and how this should be a long term fund with phase-in goals so that GT doesn't have to play in MB and lose revenue, and how you should make a Capstone style project of this and have architectural students be really clever about maximizing utility of the space and maximizing home field advantage while being clever about production schedules and total cost of ownership.

But AI2020's crowning jewel is the new Edge Center. Such a renovation would likely erase a good chunk of that building. The only way this could work now is if the new Edge Center turns out to be the new Wardlaw Building instead. And that ship seems to have firmly sailed. Major stadium work is probably off limits now for at least a decade or two. :(

I was told to sit down by a guy behind me on a 3rd down. Miami game, I think. He wasn't a regular to the area

You do not want black outs. That didn’t end well for UGA when Alba destroyed them a few years back.

The Budweiser song is my all time fave tradition in all of college football.. fans really need to get into it instead of just the students

One thing that drives me crazy while watching college football is that every single band all play the exact same songs. I hear thunderstruck 50 times/day

The band director needs to get more creative and stop playing the same damn songs that the other bands play every single game, every single weekend. It makes me cringe hearing the same stupid songs every single week for the past 10 years

I want the ability to buy remote season tickets that are donated to military personnel, kid hospitals, maybe homeless shelters, GT dining hall and cleaning staff, and new alumni.

I want the Upper North to be torn down.

I want a streaming VR gameday experience.
