Post your most memorable GT plays

That was before my lifetime so care to give me anymore details on the play.

We are losing, FOG rolls in, Gary Lee fools the KOR and goes up the nad licker sidelines, smiles at prince vince as he is running by and scores TD. Game over after Ted Roof and Black Watch Defense shuts nad lickers out.

I would love to see a clip of it-
I have heard the radio call. it was great!!

My most memorable play that I was present for has to be Calvin Johnson snatching a touchdown pass away from three defenders during the Gator Bowl. There was a vocal group of wvu fans right next to the band section, and since the play happened in end zone right in front of us, it was a nice STFU to those guys.

As for a video, the best I could find was at 1:50 of this highlight video from the entire game. Still breaks my heart that we lost that one. (Or hell, any game from 2006, save for climpsun)

I hadn't really thought about that, but 4 plays go differently that season and we are 12-1, ACC champions, beat U[sic]GA, and maybe in the BCS title game. I guess maybe a lot of teams can say similar things, but it still sucks.

Not really one play, but the combo of McNames and Toner vs bama in 62.

Thanks Dad for somehow getting the tickets.

I'm going to keep it to games I attended:

1990. Clemson, BDS, end of game - goal line stand in the south end zone.

The Catch II

Being in the north endzone and actually seeing the ball come out of Jasper Sanks' hands and knowing we were going to get the call without any doubt. Got to love home field advantage.

Morgan Burnett cleaning Evan Sharpley's clock at the end of the first half against ND last year.

Unfortunately, Bo Jackson's run down the sidelines at the end of the 4th quarter sticks in my mind, as well.

Joe Hamilton to Dez White for the second TD bomb of the day vs. F$U in Tallahassee.

1959 Florida State game:Vince Mattera pitches to Rigby Ruddock sweeping left. End is jammed up, Rigby reverses field back to the right FSU defenders are bearing down on him so he throws the ball downfield to Johnny Stowers. Seminole CB tips it over Johnny's head. Stowers reaches for it in vain but tips it again. Pete Regimbald flys in, catches the ball, swivels past one defender, stiff-arms another and stumbles into the end zone

Penalty for illegal receiver downfield wipes the whole thing out.

And gailey is still our coach.

Not to drag him into everything...but i would much rather be in the position we're in now.

Re: Post the most memorable GT plays you can remember

That play was incredible, but they got the terminology wrong. That is not "The Catch." This is The Catch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXRqyjzyBRg

You're both wrong, actually. THIS was actually "The Catch" .. before CJ ever set foot on the flats:

Kerry Watkin's one-hander catch in the endzone against Clemson, 2000. I was in a Clemson section for that game, and I could stop saying "Holy S**T!" over and over for about 15 seconds.

Incredible feeling.

It predates youtube.

It was a one handed grab on a skinny post from the slot, with no time left, 20 yards out, on like 4th and 16. For the win. It was nutty.

Joe Hamilton to Dez White for the second TD bomb of the day vs. F$U in Tallahassee.
I was at that game. What stood out to me from that game was True Freshman Kelly Campbell's one handed grab in the endzone after getting his jaw broken earlier in the game, and having it wired shut in the locker room so he could go out and play some more.

You youngins wouldn't know an offensive highlight if it bit you in the ass. :P

1) Kerry Watkins in 2000, one hander in the endzone. I fell backwards, flipping over a rather massive recliner while screaming. Best headache I've ever had.

2) Luke Manget's field goal over the Mutts in 1999. I lost my mind and it seemed like people finally started paying attention to us.

3) Calvin Johnson's catch in Death Valley, 2004. I woke up two floors of an apartment complex screaming in excitement when we won that game.

4) Calvin's SpiderMan catch. I didn't make a noise because I had just realized what a talent we had. My jaw hit the floor before Calvin hit the ground.

5) Goose's run in 2000 against UGAg. I couldn't stop laughing.

I forgot about that play. The Goose is loose, what did that play take, 60 seconds? I nearly had my a$$ whipped after that game, for taking some hedges to go home with me. The red and black were not pleased. I was drunk, brave, and stupid. I still have those hedges.

I was late walking into Sanford Stadium that day...the goose was loose as I took my seat....lmao as well!!!

Glory Days bah nah nah nah, bah nah nah nah = Springstein.

Why didn't I think of that?

The Goose is Loose is the best GT play I have ever seen.

Second place goes to another Fridge call. It was at Grant Field against NC State. Slot receiver goes into motion at full speed. Joe takes the snap and hands to the slot man in motion. Joe barely moves. NOBODY on the o-line flinches. The WR was at least 10 yards down the field before NC State reacted. It was a 35 or so yard TD run.

You were still playing for that one, right? I was in the stands thinking about final exams. I graduated the following March.

OK, I lied, I wasn't thinking about finals.

I also like John DUIberry the previous year in Athens.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a video of anything from the 2000 game against uga?
