Deidrick Mills

He went to Garden City, where, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution story, he broke his collarbone and passed just three of six classes in his first semester
Uh, wait a minute. How is he eligible anyway if this were true?

Damnit. How many damn RBs can we play the “what could have been” game just over the CPJ era. Had at least 4 studs who either couldn’t get out of their own ways or left before they had a chance to shine.

How is he a junior? Only played one true freshman season, should be a sophomore
Once you enroll as a freshman the clock starts. You get 5 years to play 4 seasons. A medical redshirt may get you season six if the NCAA agrees. Another arbitrary NCAA rule.

So, Auburn or Louisville?

He should probably look for a non-college related route like the Alliance of American Football. There is a team in Birmingham that I think starts playing in February. They may be more lenient towards his *hobbies*.

Agreed. Happens everywhere but it's especially tough for us since we have fewer opportunities at top talent.

I was very butthurt when Dedrick got kicked off the team. I thought he was gonna be a super star for Tech and he let us down. I read his story later and I understood why he ended up the way he did. I wish nothing but the best for the kid, hopefully one day he will figure it all out.

Now we just gotta figure out why you ended up the emotional bastard that you are.
