Clemson coaches salaries going up

Smart move to keep the staff from getting poached. They can probably make more if they jump ship but they'll think twice as long as Clemson keeps having success and they're getting rewarded.

Other than Venables, would anyone else have offers near this much? I guess some of them will get head coach offers at some point but not sure how good they will be. And if none of them get head coach offers, then that is strange.

Hope in a few short years we have to go up in proportion to them.

And not based on fear of losing a coach, but because it was earned.

In the last four years Clemson is 54-4 (.931) with 4 ACC championships, and final rankings of 2, 1, 4, and 1. They just crushed what some thought beforehand was the greatest Alabama team ever. The program is printing money right now. If I were the Clemson AA I would do anything I could to keep everybody happy, to heck with any worries about whether some asst could get paid more elsewhere or not. Do whatever it takes to keep the status quo, and ride this train as long as it will go. It doesn't get any better, and it can only get worse.

They are selling a lot of logo apparel right now. Probably enough to cover those salaries alone.

Someone is gonna want a piece of that staff. It'll happen, and they will take a step back when it does.

We win two National Championships in just a few years, I bet the money would pour in. I’m jealous.
I'm not. We are in Atlanta, not ööööhole South Carolina. The only thing less appealing in South Carolina than Clemson, is Columbia - which is a ööööhole beyond measure.

Although Aiken is kind of a nice little town. Still wouldn't live there.

This is where the NCAA should do something, instead of just harassing 18-22 year olds.
