CGC Appreciation Day

Need to have a looooooooooooooooooooong talk with CGC about where he shops for jackets and such.

We won’t build the statue until he wins his 2nd NC in 2023. But Rockdale County can build it anytime they want. They know what we have already.
 
I recently had a chance to chat with CGC and confirmed that his dad was my middle school gym coach out in Rockdale. I have clear memories of his dad, even though I was not a notable middle school athlete, because his dad was a distinctive fixture at the school – he was skinny as a rail, he had long black hair, and he always wore 'serious' running shorts – those *short* shorts made of some flyweight material, and his were in the design of the Colorado state flag. He was a bit of a hippie and he ran a lot.
 
Bunch of good Tech people in Conyers. Plenty of non-Tech people in that video, too. Hoping Geoff can lure some of them out of the desert.

CGC and his entire coaching staff are a breath of fresh air. CPJ was a good X's and O's guy, but a terrible recruiter. In my entire 30 years of watching Tech football I've never seen smaller players than we had under PJ. Soon to be gone are the days we're outmatched and overpowered by Duke and Minnesota before the game even kicks off. These guys are going to recruit some players that can go toe to toe with just about any P5 team.

I am going to have to agree with your assessment. Starving OL down to weight was getting old. We need to get bigger at almost every position.

I am from C-town. Grew up 5 minutes from the Monastery. His father was my PE coach back in the day. This made me smile :)
