Got to meet GT QB commit Tucker Gleason tonight

There's a lot to like about him. Arm talent is quickly apparent...short, quick throwing motion...throws with a nice touch on the deep ball but throws a 15 yard out route to the opposite side of the field on a frozen rope. Looking forward to seeing this young man on the Flats.

36 min highlight video. I watched about 5 minutes and that was enough to know he looks like a player. His game kind of reminds me of Sam Bradford. With a good year there’s no way he isn’t a 4 star.
Yeah 5 minutes of that video was enough for me to know he's special. He plays for Tampa Plant and they are in a league full of D-1 players so he's not going against the sisters of the poor in that video. He said he played at 195 lbs last year so he has definitely put on 20-25 lbs of muscle since then. He looked FBS-ready yesterday.

Graham, Yates, and this kid would make for an interesting QB battle. This kid comes across as the purest passer of the 3 but that's just based on HS footage.

Is he taller than 6'1" now? I kind of worry about 220 lbs if he is only 6'1"

Right now I'm hoping Lucas Johnson wins the starting QB position (assuming he gets the waiver for a 6th year), with Graham or Oliver backing him up and the other guy moved to another position on the field to get in the action since they are both insanely talented. Redshirt Yates this year, with 4 games of experience. Next year, if Yates beats out Graham/Oliver, move the other onto the field who doesn't get moved this year and have Lucas and Yates be the 1 and 2 guys at QB, with Gleason redshirting. We'll be very talented at QB for at least the next six years, and in way better shape than we have been the past two. I know there were a ton of injuries, but its frankly amazing that our starting QB the last two years was as bad as he was with the situation we have now.

Why? Not sure i can figure out; are u saying thats too heavy for 6-1 or something? Plenty of qbs are short now with shotgun O and modified rules to help the O. So 6-1 is fine. So i know thats not your concern. I guess you are saying 220 is to big for a 6-1 qb? I personally see no issue with that frame. In fact for option it’s preferable for the qb to be tebow like. Who was 245 and only 6-2 or so. Dak prescott also comes to mind, 6-2 and 240 or so

6-1 is ok but 6-4 is better

Lets see what O we run. If the qb ends up running 10+ times a game i would rather have a 6-1 220 than a 6-4 220. If he just passes and only scrambles occasionally to keep the read option honest then would rather have 6-4

He's listed on 247 at 6'2". I'm 5'10" and he was a lot taller than me so I would guess at least 6'2, maybe even 6'3 now. He looked like a LB. Solid.

Part of why I asked. If he was 6'1" at the beginning of his junior year, he could very well be 6'3" by now.

Related note, one of my friends was about 5'5" freshman year of HS. He was 6'4" when he graduated. Never seen anything like that before

Thought I read somewhere he is 6'2.5 now. Could be wrong. He didn't do the camp circuit, so the sites haven't updated their measurements and they are often off, anyway.

I don't care if the kid is 5'11" or 6'4". It's all about being able to play and make plays, correct?

During the season. This is the off-season. Internet coaches are desperate for irrelevant statistics that keep them in the game.
