How many ACC wins?

The fan in me said 3. It's the ACC though. We're known for our circle of suck, so these games could go either way.

You left out the correct answer of 8, since we're gonna win the ACCCG as well. As a matter of fact, we're gonna beat Clemson so bad in that game they will retroactively change the score of the opening game to give us the win in that one as well. So the correct answer is 9.

It's hard to say after just 2 games, but I don't think the OL problem can be resolved much this season. Without a decent OL, it doesn't matter how creative you get with running and passing. We will get a couple wins when we get the fortunate breaks like turnovers and penalties.

There's not a sure win left on our schedule after this week, but I do think we manage to win with defense against one of our ACC foes.

I'm thinking "we steal one from either Pitt, Duke, or VPI."

If we played Pitt this week, we could be looking at a slobberknocker like that Wake vs VPI game a few years back. They are not good. I'm hopeful we'll have something going on offense by the time we play them. Duke? The way we got after Barnett gives me hope against them without Daniel Jones. VPI is capable of losing to anyone. What gives me hope is that this isn't a great year for quarterbacking in the coastal, so our defense is gonna keep us in games and our special teams will help us with field position. If we find anything at all offensively, we can be competitive.

I think we will be surprised at how well we play in the ACC.

I’m gonna say we go 5-3 (voted for 4-4 tho). And I think we win the tiebreaker to play in the ACCCG.

I believe in the attitude and effort of the team that much. This team will get better week to week. Hopefully a true answer at QB reveals itself because that’s what’s really needed to get cohesion on offense.

That's what I expected preseason. Honestly I think our talent level is about average for our division, or slightly below average.

I believe we can beat Pitt and maybe VPI as is but a duke and Miami win would be amazing.

Duke is probably a 6-6 (3-5) type team again this year, and that's if Cutcliffe works his magic and coaches his butt off. We probably won't be favored on the road there, but they aren't that scary.

Going into the season I marked 4-4 (6-6) as being a very successful and satisfactory opening campaign for the CGC era.

Athletically, Miami, U(sic)NC, and NCSt will give us trouble, Virginia there will be tough, VPI may have better athletes but they’ve looked pedestrian thus far, Pitt looks about the same, and Duke will be an even game -we’re due against those guys.

I look at the Temple game as being a potential key to a satisfactory season -win up there and realistically, 3-5 in the ACC gets you 6-6 and a bowl bid.

I can see three wins vs Pitt and VPI at home, Duke on the road. In this scenario, it would take a win vs either U(sic)NC or NCSt at home for a .500 ACC season, as a win at home over one of them seems more likely than winning at Miami or Virginia.

But we’re talking about the ACC Coastal, so who knows for sure?

All this being said, I’m very concerned about our OL and the injuries sustained vs USF.

I voted but who really cares? We are obviously not good. I want to see us improve with recruiting. You know...the thing Paul Johnson said Tech was never historically good at?
