My Game Ball Goes To...

I haven't looked at the stats; but I don't think the defense was on the field near as long this game as it has been in the past. I think that helped from getting them gassed at the end of the game. Plus being tied at halftime seemed to lift the whole team; it was definitely a big boost when we went to overtime.

This team hasn't quit all season, now with this win under their belt I doubt they will.
It seemed like we held the ball for the entire 3rd quarter.

Roddy commented on us having the smallest lines in the ACC. Might be true? but Miami was the softer team yesterday

It’s definitely true after injuries and Braun leaving and Adams passing away. Wasn’t necessarily true coming out of 2018.

My players of the game were Pressley Harvin. A Swiss army knife threat of a punter.
Jordan Mason. Dude balled out.
Miami's kicker. Thanks for the shanks, kid.

A lot of things to like about yesterday. We also got a little lucky too, thanks to Miami's woeful kicking (and on the strip sack and fumble early on, if Perry throws that screen pass, that receiver has three blockers and nothing but green grass ahead of him. Glad he hung on to the ball that extra split second).
I'm not overly thrilled with our coaching, though they did some good things in plan and design. But it was better than Miami's yesterday.

At the beginning of the game, the on-the-field announcer said we had one of the smallest rosters (size wise) in FBS.

Brown caught the TD pass right before halftime, which was quite a catch. He is going to be special.
Yep, I realize that. But the mention that he made was right after talking about Harvin so I thought he was saying he thought Brown caught the ball from PHIII. But yes, I like Brown a lot and thought that catch was awesome.

Difficult decision.

We played with heart on offense, defense, and spcial teams. We faced unbelivable adversity and alway always always continued to fight. We overcame refs who only called in one direction.

Our coaches were better than theirs, in game plan, adjustments, and motivation.

But my game ball goes to Lew Caralla. I think we won this game nine months ago, in winter workouts. We never quit and we were never gassed. And walkons rose to the level of their big star opponents.

Congrats to everyone today, but lets not forget Lew.
How did I get a bigcry on this?

I think our TOP was over 18:00 in the second half. One graphic in the fourth qtr had us with 30 plays to Miami's ten.

When Harvin tossed it, my wife said "see, I told you they should pass more!", thinking it was the QB ‍♂️:dunno:
