There were many moments when it seemed like we were making non-competitive play calls. Near the end of the 2Q we had 3d and 15 at our own 10 or thereabouts. We call a draw, gain 4 yds or something. Very unlikely that play gets 16 yds. Why not try a longer pass there? We were going to be punting with very little time on the clock anyhow.Kicking it away down 10 with about 5:00 to play is horrible. Might as well wave the white flag instead and walk off the field with your head down.
That’s all.

IMHO that doesn't have much to do with itThat was not a bad call...end of 2nd quarter
It's defensible clock management. Giving the other team 1:45 for a drive is a substantial difference from 1:10, or whatever they ended up with. Or maybe they had to burn a timeout, can't remember. There were many moments when it seemed like we were making non-competitive play calls. Agreed. Which means CDP thought there wasn't much of a chance we'd convert the first down. It's defensible clock management. Giving the other team 1:45 for a drive is a substantial difference from 1:10, or whatever they ended up with. Or maybe they had to burn a timeout, can't remember.
I agree. Y’all are acting like we were completing passes all night. You defense gave up 20-30yds the entire half. You get a stop and get the ball back. Y’all talking as if the ball was on the 50

Good lord. What a pussy way to play. We aren't Alabama that can just go to the locker room knowing we can shove the ball down the other team's throat to start the second half. We are a team that needs to kick and scratch and dig and fight for every single pointOr, if you throw an INT and they run it back then you're in a big hole and the other team has all the momentum.
