2021 Recruiting

This guy is fast but at 5-9,165 he needs to be.So course he is only a JR so time to grow.
my concern--in a listing of 2021 offers there are only 3 DLs in 60 offers I glanced at and they may not be DTs.

Same size as Ahmarean Brown. He is a slot reciever, so he doesn't need to be bigger. We will offer 250 or more guys, so I am sure DTs will be among them. The staff isn't just ignoring the need.

Edit: I just looked and I think we have offered 8 defensive tackles already.

I don't think previous staffssss ignored the need either, but we still didn't sign many.

On campus...EDIT: was on campus a long time ago. Retweeted by Coach, but the original was old.

One top 25 class at Tech is remarkable. Two in a row would be unheard of. I think this 2021 class will dictate the success Collins has a Tech. Excited to see what he can do.
I agree. To have any level of sustained success he must string together at least 3-4 similar classes.

Guys...let’s enjoy the 2020 class before we start putting conditions on what the 2023 class must be for us to have success...
Collins is 2 for 2 so far in his recruiting efforts at GT. He’s already proven himself.

I’m gonna go ahead and assume he can and will do even better once we actually start winning football games.

I want our trajectory to be like Clemson's in the Dabo era. A couple of fighting years with flashes of brilliance early on (Spiller, Nuk), Tahj Boyd era that changed everything, then today's monster. These early classes need to be the giants whose shoulders our program stood on when people say "this was the turning point in GT football" like Clemson's with Boyd. Along the same timeline of Clemson's I also want us to beat LSU in a few years because we owe them, badly.

Clemson is a good roadmap to follow. Years of fair to mediocre production under a coach who had been there a while then a young, energetic coach takes over and they start fairly low and just steadily improve year over year.

You have to train and nourish your monster before you unleash it.
