Post thoughts on BC matchup here. I casually watched their game with VT. Looks like VT handled them pretty well.

What were our stats before the Clemson game?

So BC is bad at running and scoring, but they’re good at passing and keeping the score low.

The UCF game didn’t help either but Clemson is (hopefully) a huge outlier

The stats are definitely skewed a bit from a scheduling standpoint since BC hasn't faced nearly the same type of schedule.

GT will have a chance if they can get the running game going. Concerned about our secondary--they'll need to make some plays and/or we need a pass rush to show up or BC's QB will look like all-conference like GT's D made the average joe at Syracuse look.

It seems we don't play good passing teams well so I'm worried about that aspect of the game.

BUT they don't have a great defense so I expect (hope) that our offense will bounce back.

It will likely come down to TOs once again. Split or win that battle and I think we will be OK.

We win. I salivate about a matchup against a team that can’t effectively run the ball.

I feel this one is all about fortitude. How do we respond? We can absolutely win this game if our mind is rite. The only question is, will it?

It goes without saying, I want GT to win and win big. However, if they lose I’d like to see a competitive game at the very least. So far this season, they’ve looked horrendous in all three losses.

We were competitive against Central Florida until they did to us what we did to Louisville in the 4th quarter

If the first two losses, where we got to within a score around the 4th quarter mark before fading, are looking horrendous, what would you even call most of last years losses?

2012 stat line. I hope we beat BC this badly. 8 years ago today.

Reading the recap, it was our first game after firing Groh.
