Mark’s last sentence to me on Saturday was “I’m a lucky man, to have met so many random strangers that became such good friends.” He was the essence of Stingtalk and the reason I fell in love with it over a decade ago. And I tear up every time I think about the fact that I can’t hear one of his jokes again or see his smile. But I do know he’s up there in good hands because he was one of the best of people
anywhere.

If anybody wants to ride with me to Savannah on Sunday for his service, pm me and I’ll send you my phone number. I met Mark on a random strangers from stingtalk road trip. It’s only fitting that I take another one on my way to send him off.

Very sorry to hear this news. Would be a good thread to be kept at the top of the forum if mods feel the same.

Tied up until June 3rd (recovering from surgery) but I'd be down to grab some drinks after that and relive some good memories in honor of Mark.

The only time I played ADASL soccer was with him. Randomly, actually. No idea he was on the team until I showed up to sub. Played about 3 games together I think.

He taught me to place kick on the field at BDS after a football game once. One of those "storm the fields" games. We kicked south, from about 25 yards. It was evening, but not too cold. I can't remember who we'd just beaten. Might have been in the Chan days.

Knowing it is coming doesn't make it any easier. Got a text from Lauren a few minutes ago that Mark passed away. I saw him last night and can confirm this is a relief. No other words... already miss him. Please continue to pray for the family and friends.
I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and family. God bless.
