I told y’all keeping Gef was going to hurt us more than firing him and eating the buyout. His dumbass should be fired tonight. But it won’t happen because the captain of the ship is also a dumbass and is going to run aground.

Agree. When college basketball became the one-and-done league it ruined the game for me. Rivalries, and games in general, were better when players were at a school 3-4 years.

The portal may do the same with regard to football. In less that a week-and-a-half we’ve lost a lot of talent in the backfield. That’s depressing.
 
I don’t blame Griffin, Gibbs or Mason. They only get one go-round for college. Two of the three probably won’t play pro ball so this is it for them. Asking them to waste an extra year of what precious little eligibility they have anyway to play for Gef is asking too much. They got hoodwinked just like we did.

Technically, Mason hasn't officially said anything. So, 2? We are bringing in 2 in the signing class and pursuing a 3rd.

Believe it or not, I am still not overly worried about running back

And Choice is on the road recruiting.
 
I am reminded of the times during CPJ's tenure when our starting QB or starting B-back transferred out, despite being the players around whom the offense was built. I remember thinking what a very bad sign that was about how things were in the locker room.

If they ain't coming for a GT education, why the hell would they want to come to become part of the shat show that's occuring right before our eyes?

Opportunity for playing time and they believe they will be the ones to get it turned around.
 
Kid and his family were planning this months ago, so stop it with the sky is NOW falling and CTC is leaving hot takes.

Besides kid just lucked his way up to most probably second string RB and could complete for 1st string, which is what he came here for. If he wants to quit the team because he’s holding a grudge due to lack of playing time, forget him.
