BAM! Big One!

If he wanted to win national championships, he should of went to UGA (because UGA wins so many national championships). Now he'll be playing in front of high school crowds (while I played high school football in Texas in one of the largest high school stadiums in the country which was no where near 55k). Oh well, UGA didn't want him. UGA only recruits 5 star players because recruiting rankings mean everything.

/Sarcasm

21 in the Scout Team Rankings now. I think we'll be higher after they finish evaluating guys cause we have several high 3 star guys who'll be 4 star after they expand the rankings.

Similar might be said of us at Rivals.
Only have of them have been evaluated and what remains are three 4 stars and a three star.

IMO Charles Perkins is our second best commit behind Mccoy. Perkins is a stud. That kid is built too. He's really helped a lot with these commits as Denzel Mccoy has too.

Wow, this whole hiring Paul Johnson thing just keeps getting better and better.

Ah, but he's not young and dynamic and has a high school offense.

Seriously, though, this is awesome. He had offers from UF and Oklahoma as well. Although I have no doubt opposing coaches have been using that Calculus book extensively, PJ has continued the excellent recruiting program started by Gailey and he'll do great things here before he leaves.

Is this class going to rival the 2007 class in greatness?

Dawgs fans on AJC say that Ayers is too short and AJ Green will make him look stupid......

I say BWAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!! They are getting more and more nervous every recruit we get.

Wooo! And we beat UGA for him!

you mean to tell us that all that money that the rev. spray-tan has can't beat that little ole high school on north avenue for these kids? He even attended their elite camp.

Again, if i was a big money guy over there, i'd be getting pissed.

Congratulations young man. You made the BEST choice.

Yes and only a middle school defense would give up 45 points to a high school offense.:laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher::laugher:

(1 :laugher: representing each recruit.)

ayers will never get a chance to guard Green anyway. It would not be surprising to see Reid and Tarrant lock down the starting spots for Green's next two, or three if he does not leave early, seasons. Butler, Sweeting, and Bostic will be right there. Heck...Peterson came on late last year as well.

Bottom line...we are in really good shape at CB...and the depth will give Bostic and Ayers time to thicken up...unlike JWD who had to play quickly as a 5-11, 160 lb. freshman.

This is a very key point. 5'11" is pretty average for a CB. Many, many NFL CB's are in the 5'11" range. It's really not a problem if they can jump, and if they weight in the 190 range. Safeties need to be bigger and bulkier for run support. The way to stop a big WR like Green is to put a S over the top to slobber-knock him every time he catches the ball. I think Taylor plus whoever will lay the wood to Green a few times this November. BTW, Asher Allen was 5'10" 194.

Champ Bailey is 6"0" 192
Cortland Finnegan is 5'10" 188
Ronde Barber is 5'10" 184
Jarrett Bush is 6'0" 200
Sheldon Brown is 5'10" 200

Exactly...the height is not as much an issue as the weight/strength...assuming they are 5-10 to 6-0.

AJ is going to have a hard time finding footballs to catch this year. I predict sophomore jinx.

My thought also. They don't have a proven method of getting him the ball. Right now, it's a career backup.

Not only that but until the find some WR's not named AJ Green who can catch the ball he's probably just going to be in double coverage anyway. Spring game showed how Georgia can't just say "Throw it to Green" every time.
