Spurrier voted for Snead over Tebow. Look, people may dislike Tebow, but wow. Also, according to Sportcenter, Spurrier called it a miscommunication and asked for his vote to be changed, lol.

Oh My, Gasp

dont give a ****....

P.S. not meant to offend the poster, but maybe the SEC and such

I bet all the "It was Kiffin!" people are eating a big crow sandwich.

He said it was a mistake.

Don't see how it was a mistake when he went around telling his own players he voted for Snead. What a dumbass move on his part. Makes him look like a whiney jealous old coach.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Hey now, I voted for Snead. How long until Sportscenter starts ragging on me. This DOESN'T MATTER.... I guess we need to get used to it now that ESPN is on it's knees for 15 years for the Ess-Eeeee-Seeeee

I would love for Spurrier to come out and say that Tebow is just a "system" QB.

I happen to think that if the someone wins the Heisman trophy and is not voted the pre-season 1st team for his conference, it is worth being talked about. Imagine if this happened to Tech, certainly y'all would care. I think because it's Tebow, a lot of people don't like to hear about it.

I think that because it is not our team, or even our conference, no one really gives a crap on this board. Let the SEC folks talk it up (which unfortunately probably does include ESPN at this point).

There have been 100's of things on this board that have been posted, that weren't worthy... however, this is not one of them.

Go check out the Spurrier presser on ESPN.com. He does more sweating and stumbling than anything I've ever seen. Pretty funny.

I don't understand why ESPN and other media are making this such a big deal. Who cares if Tebow had one coach not vote for him. It is preseason and that means nothing until toe meets leather!

It is news because it is one of the more obvious examples of voters in these cases being petty and self serving. It also happens in the national polls, but some odd votes are more defensible than others.

It isn't anything new. It is just the latest and most blatant example of votes being less than objective (whether it is coaches or writers.)

P.S.
And that's the main reason I prefer some kind of playoff over any poll-based championship game.

And then when the season is done we'll do the exact same voting thing to determine our national champion.
