Is scout worth 50 bucks for 6 months?

I prefer scout. The message board is what sets them apart.

that's it. all i need to know. nothing to see here. move along.

I've never joined. And never will.

You have to ask yourself if you enjoy paying $50 to read about 16 and 17 year boys. If a family member of mine were being recruited, I'd be upset that thousands of anonymous people would be following them online. Very upset. These are kids and they deserve space.

I think recruiting services that cater to the general public are harmful to college football, and you'd be better off donating that $100 a year to your favorite charity, or spending it on beer. But then again, I'm old fashioned. I think privacy is important.

I'm not a member of either and likely will never be.

While I agree that privacy for the kids is important, the kids are using the sites equally as much (or possibly more) than the reverse. In some cases, these sites are the difference between an education/sports career and working the coal mines/steel mills/(pick your favorite regional hard labor occupation) or even worse.

Hey Lizard dude! You going to practice Sat?

I'm a member of scout, and to me it's worth the $. I just enjoy a lot of the info. Not just recruiting.

Yes. Long time member here, and have never been disappointed. Although I'm sure the guys at Rivals do a fine job as well.

Haven't really thought about going until you asked. But it might be fun to take my 3yo up to "Buzz's house".

Like Tom Cruise in that football movie.

Will never subscribe to those online services or buy one of the supermarket rags. Seems pointless when it all boils down to a star ranking which is totally bogus to begin with.

Thank YOU....you are absolutely 100% correct. And I'm so glad someone has finally seen the light and understands what's up

No. The schools and the education they provide make that difference. These sites pimp out young men for a buck.
