Just announced on Sportscenter, Chan Gailey has been relieved of his duties.

I'm sure there's a crappy high-school team somewhere in this country that will take him... or at least in Canada...

I have to say that it kind of makes me sad. I hope he gets work if he wants it, or that he enjoys retirement. I wonder if any colleges might be interested in him? He might be a good pick for getting a defunct program back on track.

I was thinking Washington State.

Don't feel sorry for Chan Gailey. He is well respected in the pro community and will have no problem landing a new off.coord. role if he so desires. He also picks up nice severance from every stop along the way. I'm sure KC is no different.

I've met Gailey and he's a decent human being and a good man.
Also glad he's no longer coaching Georgia Tech.

I think he'd be awesome with the South Central Louisiana State University Mud Dogs :)

Gailey's problem is he doesn't learn. I've never seen someone who cannot evolve at all. His offensive mantra seems to be that mistake free/ conservative football will win 55% of the time.

I don't feel badly for him at all.

Chan may have not been the best fit for GT but as swampsting says, he's a good man. This man had the decency to honor his commitment to speak at the Lunch Bunch gathering AFTER being relieved of his duties just hours before when he could have just blown it off.

Some of you guys need to layoff.

POT, like O'Leary said. Weaklings love to Pile On Top. Its because they rarely make any tackles themselves, its much easier just to hit someone when they are already down

if the posters had a smidgen of the decency of the man they decry, they wouldnt be doing it

irony in action
