AP Poll

So we did not change. Actually top 15 is still the top 15, with the exception of BYU is in the top 15 and Georgia is out. Everyone else just changed positions slightly.

Looks like I was right. Miami is ranked #20. That's good for us.

This is what I expected --GT may jump a spot or two in the USA Today poll.

Thus proving preseason polls ruin the sport. Oklahoma remains in the top 15 despite losing to a non-BCS school (admittedly a strong one, but....) in what was essentially a home game for them.

Thursday night, assuming we win, will be our jump. Then, if we beat Miami, we may be top 10... That'd be awesome, but realistically it may take until October 17th to get into the Top 10...

13th in the coaches according to Twitter... looking for a link

UGA falls to 20 sumthin, VT falls to 15, GT slides to 14, Oklahoma falls to 13, BYU to 12, Ohio State falls to 11, Boise jumps to 10, LSU slides to 9, Penn St 8, Cal 7, Ole Miss 6, OK ST 5, USC 4, Bama 3, Texas 2, Florida 1.

But that's just a rough estimation.

Wow, BYU jumped 11. Thats just ridiculous. Ohio St didn't fall enough after their sorry display. But close enough. I'm Surprised Miami made it all the way to 20, I figured 23 or something. GT will move past VT next week if we convincingly beat Clemson and VT beats Marshall.

I was right about the Mutts!

I admit defeat. In hindsight I had forgotten the Iowa was going to drop out. Even so I'm surprised teams had shifted as much as they did.

Interesting --I had the 13 pegged but didn't think BYU would leap over GT --didn't think OU would fall below GT.

I figured BYU would leap GT but I didn't figure OK to fall behind GT thats why I put them at 14 instead of 13.

I figure FSU will be back in the polls next week, top 15 if they beat BYU.

BC recieved votes in both polls. They might sneak in if a few people drop one (Notre Dame and Georgia both could lose).

Imagine 6 ACC teams in the top 25. It wouldn't last long when full blown ACC play starts though. But I think the ACC can hold 4-5 teams in the top 25. VT will hang around if only because of their initially high ranking as long as they don't completelt suck it up.

BYU leap frogging to #9 is total horse ****.

How so? It beat the #3 team in the country. Yes, Bradford was out for the second half, but at halftime it was 10-7. I have no problem with it being that high, and as I asked a few days ago in some thread, do y'all think if BYU goes undefeated it will get into BCS Championship game over a one loss USC, Texas, Penn State, etc.? If BYU beats FSU, Utah, and TCU, I don't see how it can be kept out.
