Just heard on 790 that the game will be at 8:00. It has not been decided if it is on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2.

I'm worried about this one. Yeah, two teams have beaten them at home, but this is different. We're gonna be on national TV, a night game at FSU, and I'm afraid they're gonna bring out the black jerseys. They were beaten in them last year, but the atmosphere there could get electric for them... Bobby Bowden needs to prove himself, and I think that this is gonna be his turning-point game.

I predicted a 10-2 season for GT this year, and the two losses were @Miami and @FSU... so far I'm right...

Nah, GT wins this one. I got a feeling. Paul Johnson will have the boys ready. If the boys could win last year at Clemson with all of that emotion, I have faith they may not ever run into that much emotion on any given Saturday night. Black jersey's or not.

As in the words of PJ after UNC, "A lot of people had wrote us off last week, but we ain't done yet"

I'm thinking that we got our heads on straight in the way we regrouped against UNC. I don't see us going down. Just have to make sure our secondary defends well and we pressure the QB. I think our offense will roll like Pillsbury.

FSU is schizophrenic. I hope the team that showed up for USF is the team we get. Ponder is hurt, and if he doesn't get better, that takes away a lot from their game. We should be able to beat FSU, but I wouldn't put my own money on it. I would put someone else's though.

Exactly

Basically they're going to get their **** mind rite?

They also had a big win in the cesspool if my memory serves correct. ;)

I don't think the emotion of a big game on the road will affect our guys as much as making sure that they play hard on every play and do the 'basics' like we did this last week against UNC. i.e. block your man!!

GT is going to end up with over 1/3 of their games being played at night.

Miss St is at night and I will be staying at a friends cabin on Lake Hartwell.

Direct TV + no Internet feed for ESPN 360 = radio for me

Now FSU is a night game. I'm taking my family to the Third Day concert @ Verizon Amp. that night.

Third Day + night of Oct 10th = tape the game and watch it Sunday. I'm taking my Walkman.

I'll have more confidence if we do as well as we did against UNC against MSU this weekend... I hope that it wasn't just a phase and that Wommack has enough sense to stick to the simpler coverages and setups that the players said they felt more relaxed in...

FSU wins every other game vs Div1 opponents. We catch them on the "lose" week. That's gotta help some.

The only game I've had a feel for so far this year is the Jax State game, and that was cast aside when I realized we weren't sustaining drives. I didn't know what to expect against Clemson, Miami or North Carolina. This weekend is going to tell us a lot about our team. Either we'll come out and continue to build on what we did last week, thus proving that we started shaky but are going to get better as time goes on. Or we'll come out and have a shaky performance and show that we're going to be just as schizophrenic as the rest of the conference.

If it's the former, I'll feel really good about our chances of doubling our revenge in Tallahassee. If it's the latter.. my liver may not survive October.

I think so too. Our offense is going to continue to improve in its execution. Despite the big numbers and intense tempo against UNC it was a ragged game from a blocking and execution standpoint. We will be far too complicated for Mickey Andrew's defense--which traditionally has been overpoweringly fast and quick--mobile, agile, hostile--and is physically impressive this year, too. But that is what Paul Johnson lives for. Our defense should improve. Hate that Robert Hall is out, but we have some talent to step in. And it seems we may have found an identity. FSU will move the ball but if we can limit their possession as in the UNC game we have an excellent chance to win.

Not to get ahead of the MSU game (as I think that one could be tougher than last year), but I like our chances against FSU.

The teams we struggle against are the ones that have big, fast, athletic D-Lines because any blown assignments will completely blow up our plays.

One thing that FSU has shown me is that they may just have a DLine worse than ours. This is a good thing. How their LB's and DB's respond at getting off blocks will determine if we have big runs or average runs, but I don't think you'll see a lot of the 'behind the line' losses we were getting against Miami, and to some extent Clemson.

Go Jackets BEAT MSU!!!

It looks as if for now anyway, we stay with the 4-3 which is a good thing:

According to the article we may add a few wrinkles to the base 4-3, but overall it stays for now which is a good thing.

Read somewhere else on this thread, that Ponder is hurt? Can anyone elaborate?

I bet we have a frustrating win this weekend. then split the FSU-VT weekends. to put as at 5-2. Not what I want, but just a guess.

Our defense looked much improved last week, but UNC self-imploded on numerous occassions (numerous drops including dropping short dump passes, snapping the ball over the QB's head, etc, etc...)
