Official GT-Miami Game Thread

I'm dreaming of the day when we have a strong defense out there on the field. Not one that teases you with one good performance, then comes right back and craps the bed.

Edit: I will give them credit for that goal-line stand. They wanted it on that play.

Maybe Buzz can head over to the UM sideline and beat the **** outta that chicken ...

This team has no heart.

In a bullfight, the bull has plenty of heart when the contest begins. But because it stupidly charges straight ahead over and over again it gets tired. It's easy to lose heart when the lack of discipline and just downright stupidity of a small number of players ruin it for the whole team. It is very difficult to "lay it on the line" over and over again when -like clockwork - some knucklehead sabotages the rest of the teams efforts.

PJ's grocery list for 2011:

3 O-Linemen
2 D-Linemen
2 LBs
4 DBs
1 Punter
1 WR coach

Am I missing anything? I'd hate for him to get to the store without a complete list.

I don't understand the purpose of punting there. Are we just trying to keep the score looking somewhat respectable?

my thoughts...both the o line and d line are pitiful, we can get yards by individual highlights, but the o line can't keep anyone out of the backfield and that is why we can't do anything when in the redzone, there is no space for too much individual glamour down there. i feel like the defense is in the same state as last year with respect to speed, and tackling (lack of tackling). all that being said, no meltdown should be happening, no panic mode either, this is CPJ'S team growing as a unit, washington, bostic, o. smith, attaouchou, make me confident, and groh's system needs more than just this one season to show real results. It takes a true fan to see past a 5-5 record, because I know this season's struggle is for the best and it will make our program tougher for the next year
