Larry Munson

If we were somehow magically in a position to be on a Death March (no pun intended) and they played that over the PA during a timeout or some kind of break in the action...it would be magnificent. And likely end the death march due to UGA getting fired up.

How about Ding Dong the Witch is Dead?

Unfortunately, I fear too many of our fans would boo any recognition of Munson and we would really come off looking bad. Unless I thought our fans could pull off mentioning Munson with dignity and class, we would be better off to make no mention of him.

"The school is working on a tribute to honor Miller and legendary Georgia play-by-play voice Larry Munson, who died Sunday, at Saturday's game."

Per AJC. We'll see if you are right.

I just saw that.... ugh.

Let's win this weekend for Hal!

Hal Miller, an All-American offensive tackle and a co-captain of Tech's 1952 national championship team, died Monday following a short illness. He was 81.
In 1952, Miller helped lead the Jackets to a 12-0 record and a Sugar Bowl win over Mississippi, giving them the title awarded by the International News Service. Born in Kingsport, Tenn., Miller was enshrined in the Georgia Tech, Georgia and Tennessee sports halls of fame.

We did honor VD down there one year, if I am remembering things correctly. Never could stand having VD in our stadium.

I was going to post that Munson isn't really legendary as he was overall a very below average announcer. But we're talking about Georgie. At Georgie, mediocre is considered a shining example.

That's why their president's pitch to the Board of Regents was "We've have a large number of students who want to be engineers but who are not intelligent enough for the existing engineering programs in the state of Georgia. These students deserve a place of their own, and that place should be UGA."

All right then. You boys behave. Nothing good will come from us acting up during the tribute to Larry M.

I guess this is more appropriate in this thread. If you can call this appropriate.

I feel pretty confident that I'll be murdered by an angry Georgia fan sometime soon. Guess I'll go down swinging/pissing on Georgia.
