Nick Saban's recruiting methods

I agree, want him to go down in flames.

LOL at the mom's reaction. What a scumbag.

Unbelievable that this is against the NCAA rules in basketball, but not in football.

does everyone remember the Alabama AA cease and decist letter written to that suit store owner who would pimp out the Alabama players like julio Jones in at least 16 custom suits?

Trent Richardson's luxury cadillacs?

Nothing will come of this.

There is no punishment that can come from this because what Saban did was completely within the NCAA rules.

However, I would not be surprised to see the NCAA rule amended to make this illegal in football recruiting and not just basketball.

TV, ESPN money rules the rich get richer the poor get poorer. Its the American way

It's still astounding to me that crap like this (and more!) seems to go on 24/7/365 at some schools while at the same time we get absolutely nailed for petty violations.

It appears that the only way Alabama football will ever draw the serious attention of the NCAA investigatory body would be to hire Jerry Tarkanian in some capacity, it's just that ridiculous......!

We clearly need to hire a staff who can figure out what is and isn't against the rules, and do all the non-cheating we can.

How funny would it be if the NCAA came up with some Paul Johnson Redneck Rule that debunked the entire book they've written?

It'd be called.....

DO RIGHT

There's the caught and not caught right? funny to me that bama didnt have room on their roster for that RB, but now they do for Tomlinson?

What's so funny? Saban probably had a committed lineman recruit tell him he was planning to take another school visit and he told him that his scholarship might not be there if someone better came along. Happens everywhere.

If that was the case, why the hell would Justin Taylor not get the offer? The excuse for grayshirting him was that they didn't have room... Now they do, problem solved, give him the ---- scholarship you promised him!

Nobody will remember questionable recruiting practices when Alabama wins another NC and Collins is a runner-up for the Heisman. The only people crying at that point will be other teams' fans.

There is no guarantee that he and his current GF will be together 1 year from now.

Alabama and Auburn will continuously use shady recruiting practices because:

1) Winning is SO IMPORTANT to their fanbases. They don't have much else to hang their hat on.
2) Alabama doesn't produce enough top tier talent due to population which means they have to rely on surrounding states.

I hope both schools get stripped of their MNC's and never rebound, but it will never happen to the mighty SEC again.
