I admire Spurrier for taking on the challenge of S. Carolina rather than the given of Florida. Can you imagine what the Gamecocks fans will think if they win a SEC championship? Where Spurrier is standing will be viewed as holy ground. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/greenclap.gif

Gonna be a lot of getting even with Spurrier this year - UGAg especially. Let's see how funny he is after whippings bu UGAg, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and Clemson.

Here's hoping GOL starts up USuCks whippings with the Central Florida game first game of the season.
 
My family resides in SC and are big USC fans.... They are excited about Spurrier's arrival. Word around the SC fans I know is they think "all the problems will be taken care of now." As long as the beat ugag the new coach is great! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blue.gif
 
It really was a good move for Spurrier.

He gets to be close to home and he doesn't have the pressure of performing immediately. He's on a high perch where no one will be critical of him, and the media has played him up so much that the young kids want to go out and play for him.

Plus, he still gets his chance to whip the Mutts and Vol$ every year and while he won't face Papa Bowden, he can terrorize his son at Clempsun.
 
USC is our natural ally now with UGAg & Clempson as common rival foes. Here's to many wins for Spurrier at USC, and to UGAg starting out 0-1 in SEC. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drinking.gif
