With a win today vs. Appy State Georgia Southern will clinch the Southern conf. A victory over Howard next week would put them at 9-1 heading into Athens. It probably won't be fun going against a hot rushing Georgia Southern team that late in the season. I realize how much better Georgia is than the rest of the Southern Conf. but this thread is labeled Wishful thinking so ---- with it.

GSU wins 38-37. UGA misses game winning field goal. GT comes into town and wins 52-45.
 
Followed up by a disemboweling the next week by Alabama. That would be an epic 3 week stretch.
 
Similarly to how we're overdue for a big upset over UGAg, UGAg is due to lose a game that makes them a laughing stock. Lets see Southern take care of the latter and then let's go to the cesspool and dish out the former. Send them to their SECCG broken and demoralized.
 
More likely (albeit not likely at all): Southern beats UGay. We lose to UGay. Southern is state champs.
 
They did hang close to Alabama, if not quite with them, last year, and U[sic]GA isn't nearly as good as Bama was.

Okay, boss. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm pretty sure everybody reading this thread was going to be betting their house that Southern was going to beat the dwags. Whew, I for one appreciate you bringing some reality back to the discussion.

That being said, we're going to beat them bad.
