All we have to do is beat them on the field. That is what sports is about.

Not only do I hate the SEC, I hate the BCS. I don't understand how all these SEC loving spooging broadcasters can not point put the problem of 6 SEC teams in the top 10, and now probably 4 of the top 5. I can't wait for playoffs and hopefully to see the SEC get destroyed in the bowl games this year. My new saying is my favorite teams are Georgia Tech, whomever is playing UGAg and anyone playing the SEC.

The SEC is the Best FB conference, especially at the top end. It is what it is.

They are already hyping up UGA and Bama. UGA is pretty good. I hope they look over tech and are very soar from the cut blocking they got today. If we don't get them Bama will. Still don't want Bama in championship game but spanking UGA in sec title will help me cope.

This. Only time I would ever root for the Prince of darkness.

If Acc has some basket weaving majors...your statement would seem more valid.

Umm, the acc does have those courses. And I noticed at haltime today (while they were showing the Senior Band members) that 2 of them majored in "film" & "jounalism". Who are those 2, from the Evening School of Commerce? If so, then why can't we send ours there if they send theirs here for some activity?

But I guess for some folk it is never to early to start crying about how we had to go to class. Perhaps we just need to drop all sports but either MBB or baseball that being the case.

If you show up to play, then win the freaking game.

I find it hard to believe that fsu & cu records vs uf & usc the last few years is because of academics.

Freaking pitiful

I saw an anthropology in there too... In our section we looked at each other and all asked why we didn't have any football players with those majors.

A band person may know this, do we have band members who go to schools w/o marching bands like GSU (didn't have one 4 years ago) or Agnes Scott? Bc that would account for these BA majors.

I'm more pissed about what those Pac and Big-whatever teams did to my pick'em.

I was on a roll tonight but NOOOOOOOO.

Not in band, but yes, they're from other schools

Tech is without a doubt tougher than most schools. I am not wanting tech to compromise academics as much as I want other schools...mostly sec to raise their standard for student athletes.

If ND loses next week we could have an all SEC BCS game again.

I would love for this to happen (I know it is unlikely), because I enjoy seeing the only sport without a championship suffer as a result.

Back when I was in school, yes. We are losing those as the schools add football programs.

Honestly, if ND loses then it's more like a "will" than a "could". The only thing that would really stop it is if a bunch more upsets happen or Oregon/K St do not drop nearly as much.

Ur hate is misplaced. Hate the people who allow this corruption of college football, the NCAA, whose purpose is to ensure the amateur status of the sport. Like putting a wolf in charge of securing the hen house, as the saying goes.
