it would be kinda cool though to be the team to start the downfall of a very arrogant NC based conf like the ACC.

I mean we bolt
UVA or whoever else to Big 10
FSU and Clemson bolt to SEC or Big 12 or whatever

No doubt they would stall. I guess my point is that this is likely just rumor started by someone, but that doesn't mean there haven't been conversations in the past. Why not get the request in now so that when this doesn't happen in the next few weeks, people will still know what contact the Big Ten and Tech have had?
 
I am a little peeved that Georgia Tech may potentially follow me to Big Ten country, when I'm trying to get away from this damned school.

I'm being unabashedly selfish here, but I'd love it. Especially if they carve up the divisions East/West. Be in a division with three teams within a 3.5-hr drive, including one about 30 minutes away? Yes please.

So because you can name some successful people who didn't go to MIT means that MIT isn't highly regarded?

I'd actually rather join the Big Ten than the SEC, but maybe that's the academic snob in me.
 
It's sad, but it makes me feel good just to see our name being talked about everywhere.
 
Not interested in becoming the door mat of the SEC. No thanks.
