Won't happen. I hope Tevin plays the entire game, and he and the other seniors gets a shot at going out with a big accomplishment. How about supporting Tevin? You'll get the QB change you want soon enough.

Getting a bowl win and ending the bowl losing streak would be a big accomplishment for us. Beating USCw, if that's who we play, would be big because they're a respected OOC team.

Tevin as a senior deserves to play most of the final game. Let's remember that college football is supposed to for the student athletes, not for the fans. Winning isn't the only thing that matters. A bowl is supposed to be a reward for the team, and student athletes who devote several years of their lives to accomplishing something don't deserve for that award to be taken away from them so that their legacy is being yanked in the last game. They deserve a chance at going out on a positive.

Tevin had a chance to go out on a positive and blew it. You start the player who gives you the best chance of succeeding. Whether that's Tevin or Vad is up to CPJ. Personally, it's not Tevin.

I don't think Tevin or any player deserves jack ----. You gotta earn it.

You ---- right you do! You put the best players on the field no matter what! Jim Harbaugh didn't get where he is today by only playing seniors or veteran QB's. It may not be comparing apples to apples, but great coaches play their best players always.

I don't disagree; but here's a news flash: "Vad is not the best player". Vad has more energy and more athleticism; but he is held back by poor decision making. You can't make somebody more athletic; but a good coach can vastly improve decision making and Vad's potential has a very high ceiling. We have a better opportunity at winning with Tevin unless Vad has an athletic edge on the defense, he didn't have that edge last night. Whether Vad is the best option in the bowl depends on who we are up against. I'm not in favor of throwing away the bowl game just to get Vad experience, we should try to win it.

Yeah, because Tevin clearly did so much to help us win last night

Tevin makes pretty pitches on the rocket toss for 1 yard gains. Please, please, start him so we can see more of that.

Vad looks really cool calling his own number and rushing up the middle for no gain on 3rd & 9. Please, please, start him so we can see more of that.

Edit: I actually like Vad and think he's the future; but if you are going to argue that all Tevin does is look good on 1 yard gains, then I'm going to highlight Vad's problems last night.

PJ has pulled a Chan with Tevin. Chan hitched his wagon to Reggie Ball and PJ has hitched his wagon to Tevin. Even the most casual of observers can tell that both QB's were never going to take the program to new heights. It was decision to settle for average rather than take a chance on something better. Tevin is what is known as a coach killer and PJ has never been able to see that. Tevin is a serviceable back up QB at the average D1 college football program. Nothing more nothing less. He does the best he can but that is just not good enough to be better than average.

The best thing about the bowl game is that it will be PJ's last opportunity to play Tevin. Fortunately his eligibility will expire after that, and PJ will be forced to play someone else.

We should have started the year with Vad and let him screw up as much as necessary until he learned the position or proved he is not the guy. It pisses me off that Johnson did not have the balls to go for it and invest this year in getting this program to a better place. The net of this year is that it has been pretty much standing pat and remaining middle of the road.

If you think the Bowl game will turn out any differently you are deceiving yourself. PJ will play Tevin and give him his last chance at redemption. Unfortunately he has placed Tevin's feelings above the good of the team.

I will continue to support PJ as long as he is our coach but he really needs to get this thing turned around next year or it very well may be and should be his last.

Go Jackets!
