Vad's gonna be so good that by the time he wins his third MNC in 2016, we will be given this and last year's MNC retroactively, purely out of respect.

Right now UVA and VPI are in a civil war over the state of VA. There isn't enough talent in VA for both to be successful. VPI's win over UVA and subsequent bowl win stemmed the tide for now, but while neither is seizing control is the time for GT to step up and take the Coastal for good. We can beat Miami and have UNC's number it seems.

Neither Wilson nor Griffin were option QBs. Their NFL QBs have implemented option concepts to take advantage of their skillsets, but in college, Baylor ran a spread offense, while NCSt and Wisconsin ran pro style offenses, if I remember correctly.

I will concede that the recent emergence of option play in the NFL makes it a more welcoming environment. However, Lee would need to put up the same gaudy stats that those QBs above did to even get that shot.

Spread offense is pretty heavy on the option...

There are different forms of the spread. You have the spread option, which is what Cam and Tebow ran. You also have a spread which moreso involves passing, similar to a Mike Leach or Kevin Sumlin offense. I'm pretty sure Baylor last year leaned towards the latter (obviously without as much passing). It was a thing announcers always pointed out about RGIII that he was more than capable of running, but preferred to beat teams in the pocket. (That's not to say they didn't use his running ability at times)

we run a spread offense too. what that means is that we try to spread the defense out, both vertically and horizontally.

the way we try to spread them out horizontally is that our lineman use larger than average distances between them - spreading out the defense along the line

the way we try to spread them out vertically is by having the two A-Backs so close to the line of scrimmage, along with two WRs the defense has to cover up to four vertical routes

that is what spread means. we do that

here is a good primer on what PJ himself just calls the "spread"

also remember that Johnson was the OC at Hawaii under HC June Jones where they ran a "run and shoot" hybrid offense. i think the QB set records for passing yards

its not like Johnson has anything "against" the pass; he does like the QB under the center to force the defense to respect the QB running the ball, and he pulls the slot WRs tight in formation (A-backs)

I had to pick under here, but I really think it'll be a push.

You said "during his remaining 3 years of eligibility", which doesn't necessarily imply that he's the starting QB or even at the school. With the ACC (and the coastal especially) as weak as it is and with a QB who is presumably just as talented behind him, and with the solid gold colored glasses I'm wearing WRT our defense, easy pick.

PJ was at Hawaii from 87 to 94; June Jones started there in 99 (he was with the Falcons most of the years PJ was there)

1 is too easy of an answer. 99% of STers would take the over if it was .5.

So I wanted to make the question more difficult to answer. Is Vad more likely to win 2+ or 0 championships.
Prolly should have phrased the question differently then. Calling it "over/under" means we can call a push. Should have asked if Vad is more likely to establish an ACC powerhouse (2+ championships) or fail (0 championships).
