TJ is doing a nice job. He's getting double teamed and they're running right at him some and he's holding his ground and making tackles.

Georgia Tech nose tackle TJ BARNES not just a clogger but can get in backfield too. At 378 pounds, he gobbles like Thanksgiving every Sunday

Kiper says Rod Sweeting of GaTech is a 3rd-5th round, just like guard Omoregie Uzzi.

So we are going to have two drafted off of a defense that is possibly the worst GT defense since the 90's?

Well, practically every team and their rival were looking for a DC during this off-season in both college and the pros. I didn't hear any news about Al Groh getting phone calls. Something tells me that not many people bought his story of CPJ running an unprofessional outfit.

It's always the coaches fault. Never the players who acually play the game. (I.E. Wommack and Groh)

Weird seeing Orwin line up in a pro style offense. It would be nice if Orwin made it to the NFL after playing A back. These announcer said some good things about him, but of course trashed the offense's ability to get the ball to our "best" players.

Some props to Orwin for getting outside quick on the stretch play.

Orwin got a shout out from McShay at the end. Said he was a guy that stepped up.

So Orwin finished with 39 yards on 8 carries, one of which went for 20 and another for 17. Not bad.

Any word on how the others did? I realize this is a pretty old thread but I was just curious.

That's a nice average and a nice couple longs, but that means his other 6 runs went for 2 yards. I didn't watch but Orwin owns so much I'm just going to assume that's because of bad line blocking :hsugh:

from the play-by-play he had one for -3, and one for no gain. Definitely going to chalk those up to poor blocking.

take those two out and he's at 42 yards on 6 carries! He also played a lot of downs in the 1st through 3rd quarters until his team was well out of it.
